Aurum Chilli was a good boy today. Very minimal preparation due to a bruise requiring time off work. Very happy with 3rd and (equal 3rd) 4th in the Elementary today.

Today I rode Patch and his son Pound, and daughter Polly had a lesson. I think that is a record here!

Aurum Rivianna.

Recently we just about broke the record at the Australian Equine Behaviour Center. Three Aurum horses there at the same time for foundation training and all by Aurum Riviere d’Or ( aka Patch). Perhaps the most ‘unusual’ being Aurum Rivianna (aka Polly) as she was born 5/10/2008 making her pretty old for this! However as expected she came through with flying colours and here she is at her 4th ride at home.

Aurum Mietta

First ride for Julianna! The very lovely Aurum Mietta, daughter of Aurum Brilliant Cut (Brilliant Invader x Daisy) and Dreamie (Family Ties)

For a change it was my turn. After a very long break (over 12 months for me, longer for the 2 horses!) we made it to a competition. Neither of the horses, nor the rider, are back to full strength but we decided that it was time to get out any way. Aurum Solarius 'expressed himself' a little in the first test (for a 6th) but redeemed himself in the 2nd test to bring home 1st leaving him in 3rd overall. Aurum Rivière d'Or was very good with only a couple of minor hiccups to be 2nd & 3rd and Reserve Champion. As usual Patch consumed copious amounts of sugar as a result of his persistent bowing.
