The Lazy Lives of Cait and Daisy Cait and Daisy are greyhounds who are now in our family after living in a cage. They are beautiful Even if well-treated.. they have not really 'lived'.

After euthanising our adored Jack Russells - Ellie (13) and Tess (15) we were so devastated that our home was empty of the joy that a dog brings. We had been told of greyhounds as a pet as we had never even considered it or known about the program of Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP) in Victoria, Australia. The GAP is so professional and well run and they adopt out approximately 45 a week that have

been given by breeders who no longer have a need. The GAP are finding homes for these beautiful dogs who have lived in a cage all their lives if they weren't fostered. We fell in love instantly - their profile on the GAP website described them exactly and the amazing unknown trait is that they SLEEP 20 HOURS A DAY! They are known as 'couch potatoes', so easy to care for, they groom themselves like a cat, don't lose their hair and are so well behaved. You miss the whole naughty puppy stage. It is only $75 to adopt and that is microchipped, spayed and a free blanket. You cannot regret getting a greyhound and once you have one... you won't ant anything else.
