Got a quick question for you all????
Why do you wait to ring me as a last resort dog handler specialist with aggressive dogs or just bad behaved dogs??? Lol . As my last client stated to me from a friend of hers that needed help with her pooch because others failed to help with her aggressive dog..... you've tried the rest , now I'll recommend you the best ,awww thank you for your kind words and nice recommendation Sara.
Now, ... here's another FB at its worst... I was informed that this fella is truly full on....he would bite anyone that came near his owner or inside the house, and he did during my assessment, he grabbed my foot, locked on and shook it ,thank God I had my work boots on or I would of been called 2 toed John lol.
Unfortunately, once again, this client spent a huge amount of money by employing 3 other professional dog trainers to try and help her with her pooch but as usual when it comes to serious aggression like this French bull dog not many trainers are really qualified because treats just don't work !
One trainer suggested to rehome him ! What? Rehome him ? Then what? Give some other poor person your troubles? The other convinced the owners to take him to their establishment for training, nope! That didn't work because he was good there and turned the same aggressive behaviour when he got home, and the other.. well, let's just forget what was recommended as that didn't work either
. So, what did work and achieved crazy results within a shot time just in one home behaviour modification rectification consultation? This clip will show you ..
One more quick question if I may.. shall I rename my business to Central Coast last resort dog handler? Lol.
John...

Ps ..a quick tip.. get there a bit earlier then 10.00.to find a parking.
And CeCe and owner are now happy together strolling along in a nice, calm, enjoyable walk without CeCe getting the owner in a panic state of mind because of her reactiveness towards on coming dogs, bikes, skateboards even people in general, and most importantly... away from the waste of money placebo medications that vets most of the time recommended to put reactive or nervous dogs on!. Hope to see you in my next k9 bootcamp classes CeCe .
Happy, happy, happy days for Ce Ce and owner.
John.
Be nice, be kind, be safe
Meet Hugo.
This fella jumping up like if he had an invisible trampoline under his feet, loveing attention whenever he sees a visitor with a non-stop barking behaviour until he is let inside ! I notice that every job that I do concerning door dogs that, unfortunately, the owners have to keep the glass sliding doors closed rather than risking damage to the flyscreen by door dogs jumping at them and pushing them of the sliding door track or ripping the flyscreen.
So let's teach Hugo how to stay calm and remove that invisible trampoline from under his feet ( lol) and especially to control that barking none stop that drove me insane while I was talking to the owner.
Check it out folks.
Be safe, be nice, be kind.
John.
Sorry about the camera work guys but it's very hard to do it all on my own as unfortunately I don't have a camera crew and do 7 or 10 retakes to get it right lol.
Just a little update on Aussies training and motivation.
Be good, be nice and be safe.
John and Aussie
As I keep saying, I'm the last resort dog trainer, right? Why ? Because when dog treats don't work on muscle dogs like this big strong fella, because he doesn't want his kennel mate to go near his owner ( ownership rights), who are they going to call ? Yep ! The last resort buster, lol.
Unfortunately, the owner got bitten trying to break up the fight of her two dogs it started when she the owner paid a little attention to the other dog! So, unfortunately, she has to keep them separated until I get there to see if I can help !
As you can see, it wasn't easy, but we got there, the first important strategy is to get him to except the presence of the owner near his kennel mate without carrying on like a pork chop then physically touching his kennel mate and at the end in the near future fingers crossed no more ownership over the owner. So, like many owners, if you want a muscle breed of a dog, learn how to muscle up because I'm so tired of seeing these kind of breed getting blamed for their bad behaviour!. They are not lap dogs or babies ! They are serious dogs to be in the future, be their leader, not a follower, and they will respect you and follow you in every direction! And that's what I teach ! Leadership rolls without aggression or intimidating the dog by yelling abuse or threats. .
Ps... please allow me to make this very clear..as some viewers jump the gun obviously out of concern so to speak...these dogs are not chained up all the time , it's only to assess the behaviour to what I was called for. They live apart in a section of in the yard.
Check it out folks , yes all in one lesson, and in under 2 hours, this mighty pooch was under control, not vidio shopped as some claim lol.
So once again.. hearing it over and over with new puppy owners... what a waste of money attending puppy preschool John. Lol.
Like this puppy of only 12 weeks old that's been to puppy pre school has been taught no manners or directions with his owner except for only giving treats and treats, and sending him to a naughty corner..what??? Naughty corner for a puppy being what they assume is being a puppy playing with other pups( rough play, chasing, barking) o no, know I've heard it all! Lol, poor puppies placing them in a naughty corner because they're just being pups.
So this owner has opped for one of my puppy education programs to teach puppy connections, positive reinforcement conditioning programs like... response , create training, rules and boundaries, vocal and high pitched dog while recalls, good feeding management, correct toys, leash introduction, no nipping and prevention of food poisoning, and deafeningly no Naughty corner ! Lol.
So this young BT( Boston Terrier) has really shown his owner the full potential as being a typical puppy by nipping and biting the owner seriously and listen to this.... accidentally broke the owners nose! Yep .. broke her nose while the puppy was running towards her in play. Also, the owner could not walk outside without wearing those gum boots because of puppy biting at her feet or biting her slippers as well.
So let's give this poor owner the puppy education program asap . And at the end of my program just look at them together the owner informed me that this is the first time her and puppy can sit next to each other without owner getting puppy loved( attacked) lol.
So if you're thinking about getting a new puppy for Xmas or after new year don't waste your hard earned cash on puppy pre schools you can give puppy heaps of treats for doing nothing at home, and as socialising is concern?.. there is no guarantee that your pup will stay social when he or she gets older I hear it all the time through my 47 year of
Meet Biggie.. Biggie is big! Lol.
And Biggie, the rescue dog has now a new owner and a new home, so I'm going to teach Biggie how to play the game follow the leader and he's not tobe the leader as he led me and led the owner down the road for Biggie walk.
CC came to me a few weeks ago to assess her aggressive behaviour towards whoever came near her or towards her and the owner.
CC is only a fearful pooch and that's where her aggressive behaviour comes in .
At the first meeting with her... to the owners surprise, she came towards me and lunging out of fear to attack me , some would say this is a dangerous dog right?... wrong! . Yes, her action was dangerous but her fearness behaviour caused her to naturally defend herself and the owner.
So it's a combination that I have to train and work with ( dog and owner) owner must show calm control, calm directions, and then calm leadership then dog becomes calm and trustful of the owner that she can protect, lead and direct as you can see on this clip ! There was no way Aussie could get this close last time we met ! This owner followed my instructions to the T for a solid 2 weeks at home with her loving pooch and no wonder just look at her behavioural transformation, it's a slow rehabilitation training program but we are seeing great results in such a short time.
Next week to the test. Meeting owner and CC at Canton Beach for a social walk while sighting other pooches along the way .. volunteers are welcome to walk past us as a part of her ending rehabilitation training program.
Please ring me if you would like to assist by bringing your calm pooch on a lead to do a few walk bys past CC.
John.
Be nice, be safe and be kind.
Got a call to go out for a snake avoidance training session this morning as around the central coast, as my mate Matt the Central Coast snake catcher informs me that snakes are awake from winter hibernation and are hungry and wanting to breed!.
the owners of these pooches were very concerned that their beautiful BCs might get bitten one day as they, especially the tan and white , have spotted a red belly snake and barked at it in their yard which unfortunately can lead to devastating results if he gets bitten.
So here I am implementing snake avoidance training to teach the owners how to get their dogs to avoid snakes rather than to bark or sniff them out.
A program like this needs specialised training as each dogs reaction is different to another, some will go for the head shake kill straight away or the other will bark at the snake and follow it which are both very dangerous!.
So if you live in a country or heavy bush area or near a fresh water dam and don't want to risk rver your pooch getting bitten where his nose doesn't belong, then you know who to call ?.
Watch the clips after the intro and training how this pooch avoided the snakes while his owners call him with his kennel mate with them . He wants no part of the area when seeing snakes.
G'morning everyone... you are not going to believe what I heard from this client this morning for the reason I was called upon. Listen very carefully to what she informed me concerning her pooch training from another training organisation. Blew me away.
So, let's get into it as this pooch has a few behavioural home issues as well as with the leash training.
Stage 1. Assessment.. leash control ...
Stage 2. Teaching the art end of loose leash walking .. the game follow me.
Stage 3. Walk to heel short leash control.
Stage 4. Prey Hyperactivity control. ( this is where I couldn't believe what was said to me by the owner).
5. Vacuum hater .. ( sound and movements).
6. Vacuum lover lol.
7. Water hose killer.. ( is it a snake to kill ) lol.
8. Reptile admirer. Lol.
9 . Thank you John , good buy John. Hahaha 😆.
10. You're not finished with me Archie your owner just booked you and herself in a 6 lessons basic obedience course with me lol.
It's been a big week in training owners with their pooches to prepare them be future assistance dogs, responsive and good manner training in P.A.T ( public access training) is the utmost importance of the training.
So first .... the appropriate ID approval tag on the dog coat and owner by the NSW Registry and my ID tag as the trainer so security know we are not fake like a lot of owners coming into shopping centres with fake coats that's been purchased on line reading assistance dog just so they can take their dog with them, wrong dead wrong ! Not fair on the ones who are genuine and paying a good substantial amount of money for the appropriate training.
You know their is a lot that goes into P.A.T training and time as these pooches have got to be on their best behaviour and owners knowing the rules and how to control and train their pooches.
Check out some of the challenging tasks they need to prepare for before becoming an assistant dog.
