Mary-Rose has been practicing since early 2015 including communicating with animals internationa
lly and locally both wildlife and domestic animals. Born and raised in New Zealand she holds a degree in Nursing, a Master of Advanced Practice Infection Prevention & Control with Class 1 Honours. Mary-Rose is a qualified Reiki practitioner and works with this and other healing modalities. Her healthcare career has taken her to the UK, Greece, Saudi Arabia and she has previously had her own Infection Control Practice in New Zealand. Within this career Mary-Rose is an experienced facilitator, educator and researcher. She has talked with animals since she was four when given her first cat that was found on the family farm as a kitten. She lived in nature under the Southern Alps on that land, she fed lambs during Winter snows, assisted beautiful black-faced sheep birthing, helped with shearing, gathered duck and hen eggs and ran from turkeys. Birds were ever present in the tall trees beside the house and small fish in the creeks. The working dogs were family members, Roy and Beardy. She rode friends’ horses although wanting her own. A unique experience in which she gained a deeper understanding of animal connections. Mary-Rose’s goal is to bring a deeper level of understanding between our non-human animals and humans to the benefit of both in a time when connecting to nature is so important.
