Saving Animals Matters is a self-funded, not-for-profit rescue charity based in Western Australia. We strive to provide a second

chance for animals who find themselves in the situation of being surrendered, homeless, neglected or abused. Our rescue charity operates by utilising a foster care system, meaning each animal enjoys a loving, stable family environment until they find their forever home. This foster process allows us to get to know every animal in our care, their unique personality, background, as well as their individual physical and emotional needs. Here at Saving Animals Matters, we pride ourselves on matching each individual animal to the most suitable and compatible home. It is through this thorough process that we can give both the rescued animals and their new human companions the best chance at a happy and fulfilling life together. We are fortunate enough to have the support of dedicated volunteers, however are always seeking new members to join our friendly team. Fostering is both a generous and rewarding experience and we appreciate each one of our carers. 🔭✨ COSMO ✨🔭

Hi, my name is Cosmo & I was surrendered with a large number of kitties from the same property. Being with so many others, it unfortunately meant the amount of human interaction I’d had was limited. Thankfully the rescue saw my potential and offered to take me in.

Boy, what a change I'd made! Yep, massive. A once timid kitty, I've done a complete 180... Curious? Settle in and I'll give you the 'down low'.

A more reserved kitten that prefers to sit back and take in my surroundings than harass the humans, I'd do best in a more chillax’d sorta home. But, please don’t misunderstand me… I’m not saying that I'm not affectionate, because I am- I'm just more mindful of you know, personal space. Respectfully, there is a time and a place for snuggle and cuddles... and when you're on the toilet is not one of them. I'm an otherwise outgoing kitten that enjoys a spot of chasey/rugy with my cohort. We like to play... and well, we like to play rough!

So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? I can initially be wary of strangers so I’m seeking a patient home, willing to give me plenty of time to adjust. Cats? I lurrrve kitties! Dogs? I’m currently in care with a doggie and have adjusted well to their company. Children? I’m great with children, however would prefer a home without youngsters (ages 3+).

🩶 PIPPA 🩶

Hi, my name’s Pippa & I came into the care of the rescue after finding myself homeless, at a local pound. Thankfully the rescue found a wonderful carer who was able to take me in.

I'm a curious kitty that loves dabbling in all things fun, amusing, mischievous, exciting, and thrilling. I'm almost always the centre of attention and if I'm not (which is generally seldom), I'll make quick-work of changing that. I love to investigate anything and everything new. Goodies acquired from my exploration adventures are then stashed in what might otherwise be classed as inappropriate places (e.g. I once put a used tea-bag in my foster mums shoe.... that made for a nice 'n' wet, smooshy surprise!). If anything, I guess these antics will give you a giggle. All in all, I'm looking for a home that will appreciate my antics for what they are, good fun. I will provide you with endless hours of entertainment and will most certainly keep you on your toes. But please don’t worry, I’m not all ‘go go’ and can manage a bit of ‘slow mo’, and, well... smell the roses. In these instances, I am up for a snuggle!

So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? To be honest, I'll slot in just about anywhere. Cats? Currently in care with other cats and tolerate their company. The rescue feels I'll adapt to a home with another feline (or 2) providing introductions are done with care and consideration (it won't be love at first sight!) Dogs? Same deelio as cats. Children? I am great with children however, would best suit a home with older children (ages 3+).

Hi, my name’s Kismet & I came into the care of the rescue after finding myself homeless, at a local pound. Thankfully the rescue found a wonderful carer who was able to take me in.

I'm the bestest kitten with the bestest purrrsonality.... but don't take my word for it, check out what my foster mum says about me!

"Kismet is a force of nature. She’s not very loud but she has a big personality. Think, manic pixie. She moves very quickly and to navigate a relationship with her, humans need to be very gentle and patient. Trusting her is essential. Building a bond of trust will make sure she doesn’t feel threatened by her humans and that she can be her authentic self. Because she will whip her head around and put her teeth on you, or play with you. You never know exactly when it’s coming, but it happens a lot. But if you trust her and go with the flow, she will never hurt you or break skin. Just roll with her craziness and she will love you for it. She’s not the kind of kitty who wants to be snuggled or to even sleep on the bed, but she LOVES a pat. She will enthusiastically and awkwardly trot around throwing her face into your hands purring like a machine. She is full of love, albeit a bit of a manic kind. She is amazing. A sweet baby. Destined to be. She can still be nervous when making new friends and in new situations. She was a starving stray kitten when she came into care so she has some initial flightiness remaining, but recovers quickly. She does not like to be handled too much, especially at the vets, but she will allow a short pick up. Kismet LOVES to sit on the kitchen bench and watch you wash dishes or prepare food. She is very playful and enjoys a good wand toy. It would be best if she go to a home with another kitty friend to help her with some of that playfulness."

So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? I'll slot in just about anywhere! Cats? I adore the company of other kitties! Dogs? I'll adapt fine to a home with canine friends providing they give me space as needed. Children? I'll also be fine with kidlets as long as I'm given space as needed (ages 3+).

From tiny fluffball to nearly grown in foster care, this girl has waited far too long 😭

Meet Zara; a smart, spunky and smiling assassin (her foster carer’s words, not ours 😅) who’s been in care since she was just a scared little kitten found at a local pound. That was months ago… and while she’s grown and blossomed, somehow Zara still hasn’t caught the eye of her forever person.

And it honestly breaks our hearts💔

Zara may start off a little cautious as she likes to take her time figuring out if you’re “one of the good ones” (spoiler alert: if you’re reading this, you probably are). But once she’s given you the tick of approval? The cheeky, curious, full of beans side of her bursts right out⚡️

Hi, my name's BB & I came into the care of the rescue after finding myself homeless at a local pound. The pound reached out to the rescue, who were able to secure foster care placement for me.

I'm a sweet-natured, affectionate lad that relishes in the company of my human counterparts. I really do enjoy a snuggle. Yep, that's me. A snuggler. I'm the kinda lady that will find a space, any space really to mozie my way on into. As for my timing? I think you know that answer to that: Terrible. You should expect that every moment that's taken to do something important, I'll be there... demanding your attention. If I don't get your attention? Well, you best be prepared to hear about it.... I'm also fairly vocal with my demands.

So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? I'll best suit a home seeking a companion kitty. Cats? I'm currently bunking with other kitties and have adapted to their company. Dogs? Same deelio is cats. Children? I have a relaxed personality so will therefore suit a home with children who are respectful of my space (ages 3+).

Sweet Hazel had a home lined up and unfortunately that has fallen through🥲 this gorgeous gal is back on the market and ready to find her forever home second time round 🤞🏻

Hi, my name's Hazel & I came into the care of the rescue after finding myself homeless at a pound all the way in Kalgoorlie. The pound reached out to the rescue, who were able to secure foster care placement for me.

I'm a head-strong lass with a big purrsonality. I don't do things in halves, NOPE! Affection, expect that taken to the next level. I purr, chirp and trot around seeking the attention I need..... and deserve! A lap is where I'm happiest, so you can hardly blame me for trying my luck (all of the above is on my terms of course!).

At such a young age you can expect me to display kitten like behaviours..... but don't worry, I exercise restraint and control on delivery- when playing, I'm gentle with both humans and my kittens.

So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? Due to my affectionate purrsonality, I'd vest suit a home seeking a companion kitty. Cats? At this stage I'm still quite protective of my kittens, so the rescue is unable to inevitably confirm. Dogs? Same deelio as cats. Children? I'd prefer a home without young children, but may adapt to the company of older kidlets (ages 8+).

A sweet natured and affectionate boy who came into care with his siblings after being surrendered. He’s a certified snuggler who will always find a way into your lap (or your business) and isn’t shy about vocalising his need for attention. When he’s not cuddling, he’s zooming around the house like it’s his personal race track, it’s never a dull moment with him around! Salem has lived happily with other cats, is great with dogs, and would suit a home with respectful children aged 3 and up. He’s a loving, lively companion ready to bring chaos and cuddles to the right home.

"Comet loves to flop down next to you and chirp madly. She does not like to be cuddled or picked up, however on her terms she loves a pat and she will follow you around everywhere for your company. She’s a little princess, constantly being groomed by all the other kitties in the home and she loves every second of the doting attention. She’s happy to sleep on the end of the bed but often she will be elsewhere. Comet is a very playful and cheeky girl, she will amuse her humans endlessly. It takes her a while to build trust and relax into her authentic self, and she may demonstrate a lot of self soothing practices when she’s not feeling safe yet. But once she’s relaxed, she knows she owns the house and has nothing to be afraid of. It would be best for her to go to a home with another feline friend."
