Delighted and so proud to be the breakfast of Champions like Henry 🥇, 7 years old next month and still winning!

We sponsored two days of Dachshund shows last weekend, blessed to be associated with such a brilliant group of people + their Daxie doggos. We've had four mini long haired girls in the family and can vouch that they're overloaded with sweetness, fun and courage. They're also verrry persuasive and have no idea of size 😂

Henry eats Rosehip formula every day and his mum Lisa says it keeps his coat lovely and show-shiny - we're pretty darned proud of that too! Henry and some of his pups are at .dachshunds, that's Lola back on our Valentine's Day post 💕

My gorgeous Henry - Aust. Ch. Assuana Sultana - going best dog (male) in the Mini Smooths at the Dachshund Club Open show on Sunday morning under judge Miss K Maguire, and then on to win Best Open in Show.
With an entry of 60 dachshunds this was a lovely achievement. Henry will be 7 years old next month and hasn’t been shown since the Nationals in May last year as he is in Semi - retirement, but will bring him out for special shows and to support our club.

Well actually, Luna & Edge are a bit busy watching the road 🙂. They're fab puppers, and they're all over their mum's instagram feed - .life. Amie's a photographer and the three of them live in a gorgeous Tiny Home. The outdoor shower is divine ❤️!

But there's one particular post in the .life feed that hits home, literally. If you scroll back to 26 March, Amie has produced a take-no-prisoners POV about a simple thing that Councils can do to alleviate cost-of-living increases and homelessness. Simple but hugely impactful.

The message is articulate and clear - update your zonings, Councils.

Bravo 👏 for proposing a solution that's easily doable if government has the will. Posting this to keep the ball rolling 🤞.

We chose that image today because is holding an Open Show day this Sunday. It's a very old pic from musician & animal activist - here's what he wrote:

"... this is Tucker the cat. I found him in April of 1975 when he was about 5 days old and had been left in a box to die at the local dump. The vet told my mom and I that Tucker wouldn't survive, but George the dachshund became Tucker's mom, and Tucker lived to be 19 years old."

Can relate 💯 - one of our mini girls once stole a whole litter of kittens from the family cat 😂 (and made milk!). But seriously, dachshunds are just the funniest, sweetest, lovingest, most courageous dogs on the planet with no idea of size.
