KK's Holistic Veterinary Service Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine- a combination of Chinese
Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture Treatment, Food therapy and Tuina (e.g Acupressure massage)

Born and raised in Japan, with minimum English speaking skills at the time, Dr. Kaori chose to follow her dreams of becoming a Veterinarian by coming to Australia to study Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland, from which she successfully graduated in 2007. Having been exposed to Eastern medicine from a young age, Kaori chose to study Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine in 2009 and in

2011 from the world-class practitioner Dr. Huisheng Xie in the USA. She is now a certified Veterinary Herbal Medicine Practitioner, one of only a handful practicing in Australia. Kaori is also a skilled acupuncturist who loves what she does and hopes to offer these alternative therapies to many more of our furred or feathered family members. Her mum felt that something was wrong with her so here she is at Dr.KKโ€™s clinic.

It turns out to be she has some blood and Qi deficiency hence lots funny lumps started to come up!

Dr.KK treated her for above condition and here she is back for second check up.

Her mum and dad are happy to see this girl doing so much better almost straight after the acupuncture treatment .

She is now having extra food items to help her health conditions and special herbal formula.

We could see most lumps on body are smaller and strange skin lump on left ear is almost gone too.

Letโ€™s keep tonifying Blood and Qi for a bit longer ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ’”I don't personally celebrate Valentine's Day, as it coincides with my very personal memory. It marks the anniversary of my beloved Rocky's passing ๐ŸŒŸ.

๐Ÿ• Rocky, a Japanese mixed breed who came from the streets, was not just a pet but my very first fluffy companion when I was just a 10-year-old child ๐Ÿ‘ง.

๐ŸŽ—๏ธ It's been 20 years since I had to say goodbye to my brave fluffy girl who battled cancer and reached 16 years of age. The memories of her are still as vivid as ever, and her warmth forever remains in my heart โค๏ธ. She shaped me into the person I am today, and though I miss her dearly, I feel her presence with me in spirit always ๐ŸŒˆ.

Our Story

KK's Holistic Veterinary Service is run by Dr. Kaori Kanemitsu BVSc, CVCH, CVA. She specializes in herbal medicine and acupuncture and has a great passion toward Eastern medicine, food therapy and a holistic approach. She is available for consultation at Doonan Clinic. Because some of our fluffy friends get stressed coming into a clinic situation, Dr. Kaori is happy to make house calls. Skype consultation can be organised nationally/ internationally.

Dr.KK is always looking forward to helping your fluffy friend with TCVM treatments (Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Food Therapy and Tuna Massage).
