Hi,
We would like to briefly introduce ourselves and give you a little background on how we came to be registered mini pig breeders based just South of Mandurah. Our journey started back in 2014 when we were trying to source two genuine mini pigs to have on our farm that provides respite for children with special needs. Our search soon led us to discover that there was no genuine mini pig breeders

in WA. Throughout the process we were hearing more and more testimonies about what wonderful pets they make. We learnt that not only do they have the IQ of a year child, they are actually easier to train than a dog. So our first babies arrived all the way via aeroplane from NSW, passed quarantine and became our new forever pets. We should observed first hand how sociable, smart and sassy these little beauties are. They were a massive hit with the children, staff and other animals. They love running around with our chocolate Labrador and just like any pet the more you put into them you get 10 fold back. With this knowledge we then sourced another genuine mini pig breeder in Adelaide and purchased another boar to enable us to breed without any cross lines. A few things that are very important to note if you are considering having a mini pig are:-

They are strictly vegetarian. It is actually illegal to give them any meat or meat products. They love all veggies and fruit. However apple’s should only be given de-seeded. Sultanas are an excellent treat to give them in moderation whilst training them to sit, walk on a harness or lead etc. They also love frozen watermelon on a hot day and we have been recommended to use and give them Thompson & Redwood Pony Maintenance Cubes which just require being mixed with a little water. We also give them Oaten Hay 3 times a week. All these are very cheap and easy to obtain from a stock feed supplier. We recommend an acre of land per pig. They love to wander but will never go too far from their home. They usually come back of their own accord when it’s tucker time. They love to dig as they are natural foragers. Some say this can be eliminated somewhat by a nose ring but we personally find this cruel and unnecessary and it’s really not a good look. Some breeders will offer this or go ahead and do this without your permission but it is no longer a service that we would even offer. We have a wonderful lady named Jordyn who has very generously offered free advice to anyone interested or who has purchased a mini pig from us. She is currently the owner of 2 mini pigs also purchased from us. They have recently had a party to celebrate their 2nd birthday .Jordyn is very knowledgeable and is more than happy to suggest the best pig vets, groomers etc. Basically what she doesn’t know about having and rearing a mini pig in WA isn’t worth
knowing and is more than happy to share her experience and assist in any way she can. (Thank you Jordyn xx)
