Major Rant Incoming! Our mornings with dogs coming in are busy enough - I shouldn’t be having to also clean up p*e (from boys marking) in our Reception Area and Entry Way!

The days are getting warmer, we may be out in the back area more and you may have to wait - Please toilet your dog before before coming in (and this does not mean on our Entry Gate either) - you should be watching your dog for any marking behavior and at the very least please tell me if an accident does happen - that way I can at clean it up before every other dog coming in after them wants to do the same thing over the top!

Once out in the dog yard, the dogs can go to town, there is a time and a place the dogs can mark - our Reception and Entry Way is NOT the place!!!

Pricing: $40 per hour for one dog, $5 per additional dog from the same family.

What a weekend!!! I still haven’t recovered, George strutted into Daycare Monday morning still on the biggest high buzzing with energy I wish I had 🐾 Saturday was a learning curve for us both, not knowing what to expect with this being both our first time competing in a DockDogs @dockdogsau @kurgoanz event and in front of the Dog Lovers Festival @thedogloversfestival crowd. Our first jump was 14.08’ feet and our last jump of the day was 17’ feet On Sunday for most of the day, I struggled to find what position on the dock works best for George, as with each round he was getting more and more inpatient with waiting his turn and very keenly dragging me onto and down the dock, our jumps were sitting around 14/15/16 feet. Going into the final round we were looking like hopefully making it into the top six final for the Contender level. The finals have four division levels based on jumping distances - the lower being Ameter, Contender, Semi-Pro and Pro, they take the top 6 dogs from each division to compete in finals. In our last wave before finals - we found what worked and George just smashed himself right through into the Semi-Pro level with a 19.04’ feet jump. Even though that was awesome, I thought it had kicked us out of a chance in the finals, as the competition was tough, but we just scraped in at number 6 to make it into the Semi-Pro final. Doing another two personal best jumps in the final of 20.05’ and 20.11’ feet, gained us finishing Second place in Semi-Pro Division 😱♥️🏆 As a newbie the whole welcoming vibe and support of the Dock Diving community @dockdiving_downunder was something I have never experienced before, it was amazing to be part of it. Thank you all so very much to all the people that videoed everyone’s jumps, took photos and shared them with us, so we can then share and show what an awesome team sport this is 🙏🏻💦🐾 #dockdogsaustralia #dockdivingdownunder #kurgoanz #dogloversfestival #dockdivingdog

This weekend just gone - together with members from the @dockdiving_downunder group, we held our first Social Dog Dockdiving Splash day, with a great group of pooches trying out our new Dog Dockdiving Dock and showing the work I have done to improve our space. The day was very well organised and run by Kate from @huskyandthenuggie It was so good to seasoned pros flying through the air and newbies building up their confidence and taking their first jumps 💦 We can’t wait to see the crew competing with @dockdogsau in just over a weeks time at the Melbourne Dog Lovers Festival - Saturday and Sunday 26/27 October 2024.
