A wee update on the kittens from the attempted drowning on Monday.

After being seen by Frankston Heights Veterinary Centre
after the incident, they have been in the care of a senior nurse.
Yesterday, they were reviewed again to ensure that they haven’t suffered further complications.
They have all been given a clean bill of health.

Thank you to everyone who has donated cash and kitten food for their care.
A massive thank you to Frankston Heights vet who kindly donated their time during the emergency.
We are so very grateful for all of your kindness.

We know it’s a hard time of year but we are touched by your generosity x

Cookie may be small but he has a BIG personality and loves to run around and play! Cookie could play with you for hours and not miss a beat. Although he loves to play lots and lots, he still loves to enjoy a nice nap or cuddle with my feline and human friends alike.

Not dog tested but a slow introduction and gentle dog in the home is ok. Indoor only! Loves other cats and kittens !

Tomorrow, they will be reviewed again to ensure that they haven’t suffered further complications.

They are all doing so well and are the sweetest wee souls, but are still stunned by the event.

Cinderella is the quietest of her siblings and not as into rough and tumble as her brothers. She loves playing with string, shoelaces or a ball. And loves cuddles and pats. She would suit any family situation including older cats and children, with a slow introduction she hasn’t been around dogs but would socialise happily with a friendly dog.

This morning we received frantic calls that a person was attempting to drown 5 x seven week old kittens in a toilet in a local shopping centre.

The person was arrested by the police and was taken away for treatment.

The poor kittens were rushed to Frankston Heights Vet for emergency treatment and observation.

A massive thank you to Vicki who was able save the kittens and get them there for urgent care.

These wee souls are now in the care of a veterinary nurse for observation.
Unfortunately, these wee ones are not out of the woods yet and will need follow up appointments and veterinary care.

We know times are tough and it’s so close to Christmas but if you would like to donate to their veterinary care or any kitten food, we would be very grateful.

A massive thank you to Vicki, the Veterinary team at Frankston Heights Vet and to our amazing senior vet nurse and foster carer Louise for taking care of them.

Meet Mr Wally ! He is a ball of fun who loves a snuggle, a scoot around with a ball and a play with you and he will purr so loud.

He is a sweet boy that was saved from euthanasia at a rural pound who has been an easy going and adaptable boy in foster care. He loves a rough and tumble with his toys. He would be happily suited to a home where he has his humans all to himself and really is best suited as the only cat home. He is just as happy with a human family as his companion’s as long as he can snuggle with you on his terms, lay your lap and you can throw a ball for him ! He isn’t a demanding boy and after a feed, and a play will happily relax and nap away in a cosy spot.

Wally is best suited to kids that are over 15 years old! Or an adult home. Wally loves to play and needs play time to keep him stimulated!

Another wee kitten has been found in Patterson Lakes.
Unfortunately, it looks like these poor wee souls have been dumped.
A third kitten has been found deceased in the Coles’ car park.

We have been able to reunite both kittens and they are settling into foster care.

Please desex your cats.
We offer a last litter program, where kittens can be surrendered safely and we’ll desex and return the mother to their owner at no charge.

A wee late night rescue yesterday.

This wee girl was found in the engine of a car.
Thank you to Max and Jackson for taking apart their mum’s car and taking care of her.

We think she has been dumped in a park in Patterson Lakes and has sought shelter in the warm engine of the car while it was parked at a supermarket.

We will be reaching out locally to try to find her mother and any of her siblings.

She is only 6 weeks old and is still needing assistance with feeding and drinking.
