We would like to officially welcome Wavealee P. Laird to the Woodglen family. Wavealee has purchased the beautiful Woodglen Dakeeda. Dakeeda is by Tulara Dakchico II. Dakeeda was the 1st progeny of Tulara Dakchico II to be available. We wish Wavealee and Dakeeda great success and we can’t wait to see out and about in a few years.

One of our favourite events Northern Horse Park Lakes & Craters International Horse Trials took place last weekend and we are never disappointed.

This is one of the events we sponsor yearly, however this year was extra special with the introduction of the Memorial, Best Dressage for the competition award.

Jean was a beloved member of our family, sadly she passed away in February 2021. As well as being a huge part of our lives (both 2 and 4 legged), Jean was also a huge supporter of Northern Horse Park Lakes & Craters International Horse Trials, being her home town event, Jean was an avid volunteer and could be found penciling for dressage, marshalling or jump judging during cross country or anything else she could do to help. It was only fitting that in her memory a trophy rug be introduced as an annual award at the competition that meant so much to her.

We would like to congratulate for winning the first ever,
Jean McArthur memorial trophy rug, riding Blackall Park Tooleybuc, achieving the best dressage score for the entire event.

Marglyn Obsydian (Blue Roan (DNA Verified) Connemara) has headed off to Ebony Porter for some pre breaking training. Oby is an extremely quick learner and even though his mind is ready to be put through the full breaking training, he is only 2yo and his body has to catch up a bit yet. He is such a sensible calm young man. We are sure Ebony will enjoy having another Blue Roan in her paddocks, even though he is a lot smaller than she is used too.

We are very excited for his future both under saddle and standing at stud.

We had an action packed day yesterday at Woodglen, with 2 mares foaling down, both foals are by our stallion Tulara Dakchico II.

The 1st was a beautiful filly (HP Cacia Rose) we foaled down on behalf of Harris Place Retraining and performance Horses.

The 2nd a very long legged c**t (Woodglen Caschico)

We will post further photos over the next few days. We have a bit of a break from foaling down until late September when we have another 5 due to foal. All foals this season are by Tulara Dakchico II, with a select few being available for sale, with expressions of interest being invited from now.

What a team these two make, first ever comp for Tulara Dakchico II. Ty and Boy make such an amazing duo, so excited for their future, love watching them kick goals. Can’t thank you enough Ty Zoontjens. Mark Fraser is there anything a Tulara can’t do?

4 years ago, Tulara Dakchico II arrived as a lanky little weanling c**t.

4 years on and he is a proven stallion who perfectly fits his nickname “The Jolly Grey Giant”.

We are so excited for the next stage of his training. He is heading off to SA to be trained and campaigned by the amazing Ty Zoontjens .

From day 1 this young man has shown his eagerness to learn, as well as being talented.

Tulara Dakchico II has finished his stallion duties for 2022 and we have 5 from 5 mares scanned positive, plus 2 outside mare have scanned positive also.

We are also super excited to say that Woodglen Mosaic is one of the mares in foal. She is having a well earned year off after being educated by Ebony Porter. for the past year.

We only have 1 of Tulara Dakchico II foal available for sale Woodglen Dakeeda, a lovely big filly, she will be available after weaning. Dakchico II has definitely stamped his mark on his progeny. This will be the first foal by Tulara Dakchico II that is has been available for sale.
