Our Story

As a (currently some-time practicing) veterinarian who is particularly passionate about dogs my long held ambition was to live in Jindabyne and have a small boutique dog boarding kennel as a home away from home for the dogs of locals and of people visiting the Snowy Mountains. After a career both in veterinary practice and the veterinary pharmaceutical industry including 3 years based in the USA, in 2015 I purchased and moved to my 5 acres in Crackenback, 10km from Jindabyne, on the road to Thredbo. In 2017 I started out dog minding, with primarily single or same household dogs housed in a luxury dog room with a large grassed run. According to individual needs and temperament, visiting dogs can have on-lead paddock walks, and/or paddock and garden romps with my pack: Malika, Rory and Raf, the Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and Dexter the Yankee-boy terrier x (my living breathing American souvenir, rescued when Malika and I lived in the US). “House time” is frequently on the cards where visitors tend to follow the lead of my guys and hog the couches. During periods of high demand repeat visitors that I know interact well with my lot will often get “bumped” to house accommodation. Life here really does exist for the benefit of the dogs!
