SAFE Inc (Saving Animals From Euthanasia Inc) is WA's largest animal rescue and rehoming organisation using the foster care model.

We have received a variety of dog and cat products which we will now allocate to our army of foster carers. Each donation goes straight towards our beautiful foster animals, and these donations mean we can continue to keep Perth animals SAFE.

🚨 Important Notice for Pet Owners 🚨
The company running HomeSafeID (Microchip pet registry) has gone into receivership, and the future of the register is uncertain. If your pet's microchip is registered with HomeSafeID, please act now to ensure your pet’s registration is current with your local council/shire/city. This will greatly help if your pet gets lost and needs to be reunited with you.
🔍 What you need to do:
1. Check your pet's microchip registration at www.petaddress.com.au to see which register your pet is listed with.
2. If registered with HomeSafeID, ensure your pet's details are registered and current with your local council/shire/city (N.B Pet registration and microchipping are 2 different things)
3. Add a personalised ID tag with your contact details on your pet’s collar.
4. Consider re-registering your pet’s microchip number with a different provider (e.g., AAR, CAR, or Global) for peace of mind.
While vets and rangers can currently access the HomeSafeID register, we don’t know how long this will continue. Don’t risk losing contact with your pet—update your pet registration today!

It’s another hot week with temps soaring over 35 consistently. Please remember to keep your dogs inside and have plenty of drinking water available. Remember no dog has died from missing a walk, but plenty have from walking in extreme temperatures.
Here are some quick tips to help your pets beat the heat:
💧 Ensure they always have access to fresh, cool water.
🌳 Keep them indoors during peak heat, and make sure when they are outdoors they have access to shade and water.
🐾 Limit exercise to the cooler parts of the day and watch for signs of overheating.
🧊 Consider using a cooling mat or a damp towel to keep them comfortable.
Stay safe and look after your animals this summer! 🐾

Hi there, our names are Bambi and Binky and we are looking for our new fur-amily!
As you can see, we are two beautiful bunnies who are looking for a place we can hop around and play. We are friendly and love our humans, but we would prefer to be admired rather than cuddled. We are okay with pats but please don’t pick us up! We both haven’t been introduced to other animals, but we may be okay with other rabbits. We’d love a yard to hop around and play with each other, or chase our favourite treat ball!

At SAFE, we are a group of passionate, dedicated volunteers doing everything we can to make a difference. But we need to remind everyone – do something to help rather than judge and complain. Animal rescue is tougher than ever, the worst we’ve seen in over 20 years, and recent times have been the hardest.

🐾 Adoption rates have slowed right down.
🐾 Private relinquishments are on the rise, and rescues have weeks-long waiting lists before they can assist.
🐾 The pounds are being filled with unwanted animals
We give hundreds of hours of our time (collectively thousands) – but we also have our own lives, jobs, and families. We are here because we care deeply, but we cannot perform miracles.
We encourage you to help out. Whether it’s fostering, general volunteering, or admin work, your support would make a difference.

I’m good with big dogs, but not little dogs or cats. I’m great with kids of all ages but can be enthusiastic and might knock little ones over. Normally I go to Doggy Days & Farm Stays once a week but they’re closed for most of this time.
