I have the gait of a terrier mixed with the intelligence and energy of a kelpie or border collie all packaged neatly in the beautiful pint sized body of a jack russell.

As temperatures rise, it's crucial to take extra precautions to keep our furry friends cool and comfortable. Here are some important reminders to help ensure your dog's well-being during these hot days:

🌅 Schedule Walks Wisely: Opt for early morning or late evening walks when temperatures are cooler. Avoid midday heat, as pavement can become scorching hot and burn your dog's paws. Remember, if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws!

🚗 Never Leave Dogs in Cars: Even with windows cracked open, cars can quickly become dangerously hot, leading to heatstroke and even death. If you need to run errands, leave your dog at home where they'll be SAFE and comfortable.

🛑 Avoid Hot Surfaces: Be mindful of hot surfaces like metal ute trays or asphalt, which can also cause burns. Provide alternatives like grass or shaded paths for your dog's walks.

💙 HAPPY TAILS 💙

Ando was adopted by his new fur-amily in November last year, and has already settled right in! He even had a spectacular first Christmas, and got right into the festive spirit with a very cute outfit for the family Christmas photos. His new family has described him as "the joy of the home" and we can certainly see he loves them just as much!
