LOCATION - Victoria, near Nillumbik.

He has been surrendered as owner is too old to be able to cope with puppy GSP. Lovely pup only 7 months old, good with other dogs and people. Not sure about anything else as he was surrendered. He is desexed, name is Coco, vaccinated and will be getting vet paperwork soon.

It is a difficult time here in Rescue and we are finding things difficult. Due to changes in our potential homes, Henrik is still looking for a local home.

Meet and greet.

Henrik is being rehomed through No fault of his own. Henrik is a beautiful 4yr old GSP. He knows sit and stay. Can be strong at the start of a walk but happily walks beside you once he has gotten his 'sniff' on.

Henrik is a happy doggy, great with kiddos, great inside or out and has been socialised. Desexed and up to date with vaccinations. He LOVES to snuggle and sleep. He is happy to go out and happy to be at home. Henrik is just a happy doggy.
Henrik has not been around cats or chickens.

Henriks dad is heading overseas and loves Henrik very much and to keep Henrik, he would need to be kenneled for a long time. So Henrik's dad has made the heartbreaking decision to find him forever with our help.
Henrik has a couple of quirks. Nothing at all an issue.

AGE- 18 months old

DOGS-Yes, preferably female or very easy going male
CATS/Chickens- No

Special needs, has IBD(irritable bowel disease), hypoallergenic diet required (Science diet or Royal Canin). Elfie has little bit of anxiety when meeting new people and other animals so needs to be slow and steady meet.

He lives with another GSP, his Mum, and a Dachshund. He is great with both, but the Dachshund often attacks him, and Elfie will retaliate, which is why we've decided to rehome Elfie.

Elfie is a very affectionate, well-mannered young man. He loves his humans and loves spending as much time as he can with them.
He has grown up with 3 children and has been terrific with them.

He would suit a home with another dog who is submissive or a home where a person is home a lot to shower him with affection. He has lived with other dogs and by himself. He has not interacted with other animals.
He is obedient, comes when called, sits and waits for his food and is walked daily.

An energetic, loving and gentle boy who wants someone to snuggle with and be taken on adventures. Would do well with a single person, couple or family. He struggles being on the lead but it wasn’t something we focused on. Griff has basic obedience and loves all dogs and people, he is good with kids and never has issues with guarding his food. He would love someone to give him more time or have another dog for company as at this stage he is in small yard most of day by himself, Griff is not a fence jumper but always has had 1.5 and higher fencing.

UPDATE - FOSTER FOUND

Must go separately. Time is critical

Both are not in great condition. Will most likely need flea, tick and worming immediately.

Female will require vet care asap.

Male can only go to someone with a spayed female.
Both dogs will need a few weeks of care while we assess temperaments and organise spay.
We have no idea of age, no idea of temperament. No idea if ok with other animals.
The owner was a byb and has recently passed away. The female has recently had a litter and they probably require colourbond fencing.
They are currently being housed in Jimboomba while we find carers. This is very temporary.

You must have patience and love and time. Experience with pointers and pointers who have no training would be ideal.
This situation is urgent.

Both Stella and Tilly are very affectioned girls who love big cuddles, they can go to a home together or seperate but each needs another dog for company or retired person who can give them love. They both have basic obedience and are inside and outside trained. They will have few quick barks if they see dogs or people walking past. They are both dog friendly, Tilly has higher prey drive and would be great at retrieving whereas Stella is more just wants to be with you.
They both need secure fencing,Tilly is good with crate but Stella isn’t and prefers to lie on her bed. They are both still full of energy and enjoy walks and outings, they both walk well on halti leads.

Meet Moe Moe the beautiful GWP girl.
Moe has just been spayed and is now looking for her forever,Moe is 2 rising 3.

Moe has had a rough time. She was in a pound for a long time. She was beaten and is still recovering.

Moe is a beauty. She is petite but tall. She is a happy doggy who loves being around people. Has probably hunted in the past. She is currently fostered on a farm near Dirranbandi in northern NSW. As you can see, She loves the Ute.
She is used to being on a run, in a kennel, on a ute.
Loves a run in the paddock but will come back. Checks to see where you are. She doesn't jump 1.2 metre fencing but can't be around pocket pets such as cats. As long as the fencing is good (electric across top if stock on other side) then Moe is happy to stay on her side. She is a loving girl with a bright personality. She is strong on lead. Would ideally suit someone happy to put in some time and who may have a few acres.

Quill GSP and Pippa EP are beautiful pair of dogs who are in urgent need of new home / homes due living circumstances.
Preferably they can be homed together but worse case they can each go to a home either with another dog or retired person who they caN spend time with.
They are both loving dogs and easy going, no health issues, basic obedience and friendly.
Pippa can be unsure of noisy scooters or bikes or man with hats if off lead and may bark.
Quill is playful, happy boy and loves everyone.
They are not fence jumpers or suffer separation anxiety, they are house trained and love getting out and about.

Lulu has a beautiful, affectionate personality. If she could, she would spend her whole day following us around laying with us. She generally mopes around the home each morning until she gets her morning hug and pats, and then she comes to life. She has mostly outgrown all the bad puppy behaviours. She occasionally digs holes in loose dirt when she is bored, however, this isn't common. The main bad behaviour we haven't been able to stop is pulling washing off the line. Although it's greatly reduced, the temptation for a nibble is still too great. She can sit, lay down, go to bed and leave a room on command. She does get over-excited sometimes when guests come however she is quickly calmed when she gets patted and an ear scratch. She has never been used for hunting and hasn’t been off lead in open areas. We live on a decent suburban fenced property so she comes to her name whenever called, but hasn't been tested on an open property. She is able to be around the table during meal times. She either sits next to someone or under the table waiting for a little treat. Lulu would love to be part of family and included in everything. She loves being inside with her humans.

Alfie is a friendly, energetic 14 month old male GSP. He has been with us since a young pup and grown up with our two young children (under 5 years), so he is extremely good with kids. He has attended dog daycare regularly so is well socialised and good with other dogs. His basic commands (sit, stay, drop, come) are very good, but he would love more mental challenges. His recall needs work. Alfie is a very friendly boy, he loves meeting people. Like a typical GSP, he doesn’t like to be left alone for too long. He has dug holes when left alone while we are at work. Alfie needs a home with a family who can commit to the time he needs. Ideally someone who can be home often or maybe even has another dog. We are just stretched too thin with a young family and needing to work away from the home, we cannot give Alfie all that he needs.

Rolo will need secure wooden or colourbond fencing or secure area. He is lovable boy who needs special family who have time to give him. He is used to kids and loves to play, he is desexed and vet checked.
Rolo needs to find home asap as he is chained up at the moment when owner is not around as they only have chain fence and Rolo climes over to visit neighbour’s dogs or horses or to find people.

NAME - Ted aka Teddy
AGE- 3 years
DOGS- Yes, only medium to large
KIDS - Only 15+
CATS/CHICKENS- No

Ted is a very handsome 3-year-old German Wirehaired Pointer who came to his foster carer in fairly neglected state – underweight, stinky, infected ears, and little socialisation. Ted bonded quickly with his foster carer who set to work straight away taking care of his health needs and training. Ted is very food motivated and has learnt to walk on a loose lead; his recall is good when there are no distractions (!); he loves to play fetch, hide and seek; he sits readily, and will wait and stay; and he’ll sit on his bed when asked. Ted has completely adjusted to an indoor life – he can stay inside alone for a morning or afternoon, and he loves to curl up against you on the couch. He’s also very relaxed in the car.

If you think Ted might be the dog for you, then you should know that Ted likely suffered trauma in his previous life. He has a few quirks (reactive towards small dogs, needs slow introduction to strangers, not sure about little kids) but all are manageable and it would be good to continue his positive training and help him eventually overcome his fears. Ted would likely thrive with another dog for company.

The foster carer has spent a lot of time training and managing his reactivity and it is paying off. He is a much calmer and more relaxed dog, eager to meet other dogs (still a bit ‘in your face’ when greeting them and then either wanting to play or ignore them). At the vet and at the kennels he is the best boy and everybody loves him!

Ted is the biggest smooch, he loves cuddles, he enjoys learning new things, is great at scent work (he’s done the intro course!), and does the goofiest zoomies after his morning and afternoon walks.

In short, Ted is a work in progress looking for a person who will love him and work with him using rewards-based training and show him that life can be good if you’re with the right people.

CATS/SMALL PETS- hasn't been around so we say no

The good:
- extremely loving, friendly and affectionate
- A great companion, he will follow you around all day
- very friendly with children, although when excited he can inadvertently throw his weight around
- crate-trained (he sleeps outdoors) but he is very comfortable indoors
- wormed monthly, and vaccinations up-to-date
- loves to play fetch
- In general, he is friendly to other dogs

The not-so-good:
- he has not settled well with our first GSP - he doesn't respect her space, and pushes her out of the way when we give her attention. This has led to resource-guarding by both parties and is the main reason why we want to re-home him.
Not loose-leash trained.
- very excitable and limited impulse control, although recall is ok
- some degree of separation anxiety, he will occasionally howl when a car leaves (even if someone is still home)
- limited toilet training - tends to mark his territory a lot

Overall, I think he would do well with a family who has no other dogs and is able to give him the full attention that he desires (or perhaps another dog that is happy to give Hawk the limelight!). I think his impulse control and reactivity would improve with frequent one-on-one training but we have not been able to give him this, and subsequently he has improved marginally at best.

Breeder is aware and has asked for our help.

😍😍This lovely little fella is Joseph.
Joseph is under 6 months. He is very affectionate and quick to learn, loves to play and loves praise, keen to please, already sitting on cue for treats and coming through the door, also knows let's go! All after only 48 hours!
Loves other dogs and would do well with another brother or sister.
So far he has shown to have a kind temperament.
He is being quite good with the cats even though they are very unhappy with him. He is finding the urge to chase them hard to control, no bad intent though, more curious and enjoying them running....working on that.
Being a puppy, Joseph can be very mischevious. Like most pointers, he is cuddle bug, can't get enough affection and let's you do anything, he is a very curious and quietly confident boy.

Joseph does have a health issue to keep an eye on and he will only go to a home under contract to desex.
Joseph's beautiful skin mumma will be making the final decision as to his home and we would like to see him stay in S.A. at this time. If you think that YOU could be Joseph's best friend and or have a buddy that Joseph will also love then please PM To Kelly.

Such a charmer, loves to be by your side and snuggles up on the couch. Loves every human that he meets. Doesn’t bark at people walking past or other dogs. No anxiety being left at all. Around other dogs he becomes dominant and bossy and will also be aggressive where I’ve had to break up fights due to Remi starting it. Chasing birds in the yard (I know they’re a hunting dog) Ideal home would be him as an only dog where he goes for lots of walks or has a decent sized yard. He would happily run around or just sit on the couch with you.
