Time for the Goofball German Shorthair boy Ritz to start sniffing out his home.

Ritz is 10 months old (DOB 24/01/2024) and is a Goofball extroidinare.

Ritz has got some manners and skills that need finding in his teenage brain 🤣
We have found his recall is ok but will improve with practice and training.

Ritz reportedly showed no sign of being a gun dog retrieving.....however we have found he will retrieve a toy thrown for him all day long given the chance. He lives for retrieving.

Ritz is a big puppy and is a little boisterous when playing with other dog's ... but does interact nicely after the initial excitement has passed.

He is crate trained, and happily sleeps in one at night and is toilet trained.

Ritz when overstimulated in new spaces becomes very excitable, but does settle with the right information. He still needs work on his lead walking skills as he does pull, but is learning once he is ready to listen.

This boy loves being around his people in true pointer style. He will make an awesome companion for the right home. Due to his excitability Ritz is best in a home with older Primary School aged children and above.

Ritz has been flea and worm treated. Vaccinated, microchipped and desexed. His adoption fee is $900.

Klaus is a beautiful pup who is very smart and trainable, he knows some basic training already even though he is a pup. He walks on harness but needs bit more training in that area, recall is good if no distractions. Typical gsp pup.
He needs home with another dog he can play with, secure yard and home where he would only be left for 4-5 hours on his own. He is crate trained however prefers to be not lock in crate for long periods.

Hi we have a GSP girl we are going to look for a home for.
“Brunhilda” - Brunie for short- is a gorgeous girl GSP looking for her forever home. She is nearly 3yo and despite a very deprived upbringing she has an amazingly good nature.
Brunie was locked up for most of her life when she became too much for her elderly owner to handle, she had very little contact with people or other dogs and very limited space to move or stimulation for the first 2 and 1/2 years.
Consequently she is rather like a large pup, and can get very excited and boisterous, although she does seem to love her sleep! - she sleeps well overnight and often through the day. Brunie is learning how to play with people and toys and will roll on her back and try to nibble you gently when she is really relaxed.
She seems quite content spending time alone in an outside pen and is crated indoors overnight after spending some of the evening hanging out with the family, she rarely barks. She is toilet trained and has recently been de-sexed.

Although Brunie has settled considerably in the presence of our cat over the past few months we have fostered her, she has not been able to lose her fixation on him which has resulted in us having to ensure she is on lead or crated at all times they are in the house together.
For this reason we think it will be better for all involved if Brunie were to be adopted to a cat free home.

Outside Brunie must be in a secure yard or on lead, she is very energetic and like many GSPs has a strong prey drive and is born to sniff! She pulls on the lead but is more manageable with a harness, and while she has come a way with training this is an area that needs ongoing work. When away from highly stimulating environments she is very food motivated and a fast learner. During a training session with a veteran dog trainer he described her as a “1 in 100 000 dog” for her drive to work and suggested she could make an amazing agility or tracking dog.

Brunie has had some experience with other dogs since being with us but would rather track/sniff than play and sometimes has tried to dominate other dogs. She is reactive if she sees other dogs out walking and needs an experienced dog handler to manage this behaviour and help improve her on-lead manners.

Brunie has never shown any signs of aggression with people, she is a friendly, good natured, resilient dog. We are based in Central Vic and are looking for an experienced GSP loving home where she can make up for lost time and live her best life.

I'm Millie, and I'm 4 years old and I'm looking for my forever home. I'm currently living with my foster brother, a 14 year old GSP who is great, although sometimes I wish I had the humans all to myself. I am great with dogs, but my favourite home would be one where I'm the only dog (aka queen of the house). My favourite things are cuddles, sniffing, the beach and oh, I love chasing rabbits.

I am a really good girl, I have good manners (but if you have toast, I do love a bit), I don't jump up and I am gentle, my foster family say I'm just the best. I love going outside, and I can get excited on walks and pull but I've been practicing and with positive training and patience, I'll get there. My recall is getting there but I'll need some more training to be super reliable. It's mainly when I see something I want to chase, otherwise I pretty much always stay close. You've probably guessed I've got a prey drive, so secure fencing is a must on acreage or farmland.

I'm great at being handled. I don't love the Dremel but foster mum cuts my nails while I'm sleeping and I'm fine with it. I also love cuddling and being stroked. I love love love positive training and pick things up very quickly.

I sleep on my bed next to your bed. I love sleeping on the bed but foster mum has taught me to sleep on my own bed because some people don't want my snoring in their face.

So, who would be the perfect home for me? An active couple who lets me sleep inside, no cats or other pocket pets, someone who is home more often than not (maybe you work from home!), gives me lots of love and attention, who understand how important it is for me to have enrichment both physically and mentally and someone who when they do training with me, does so with positive reinforcement.

DOGS- Not to live with due to jealousy, possibly older male who is happy for her to lap up all cuddles

Her name is Layla & she is sweet, loving and kind hearted but has it in her head that I Need to be Her exculsive human. We have another GSP & Layla has become jealous. She has had few altercations with her sister Skye several times, for coming to me for affection. She would suit a home with easy going male dog who doesn’t care if she gets all the cuddles. We have been trying to make this situation better by dividing the yards. Separating sections of the house for each dog as they can not be near one another. Layla has been going to doggy daycare for 4.5yrs and has no problems with aggression or jealousy. I take her to the off leash dog beach weekly & she interacts with all dogs great and small. I take her to the of leash dogpark twice a week to swim in the creek with the others dogs and no issues. Layla loves children & loves being chased. She loves soft toys. No pocket pets, chickens or cats she's keen to see them but wouldn't trust her not to go for them. She is crate trained, house-trained & has excellent recall. 5 years old desexed & fully vaccinated. It's a heartbreaking decision but Layla can open door handles, I rotate each dog to be in the house with me for 2 hours at a time while the other dog is outside & they cry it's been a difficult 18mths keeping them apart & exercising them separate.

Training:
Good recall at home but can be distracted outdoors and will need bit more training with that. They did used to retrieve and were shot over however that was year ago so hence will need reminder how to be fully off lead again.

Well house-trained and accustomed to sleeping indoors on their own beds.
They settle quickly in the evening after dinner and rest peacefully through the night.

Happily eat next to each other without any issues.
Not fussy eaters and enjoy a mix of dog food, treats, and healthy snacks like bananas, apples, cucumber, carrots, and peanut butter.

Love wrestling and chasing each other during playtime.
Learning to play with toys.
Enjoy tug-of-war with ropes and squeaky toys.

Fin was originally left in pound by owner, he was very underweight and had allergies.
Fin is now good weight and happy, wags his tail and is healthy loving boy.
Fin is great with people, he will give you big hugs, he did give me one today when i met him.. Due to Fin's unknown experience with very small breed dogs he needs to be on lead when around them. He has generally been good around most small dogs except chihuahua and small dachshound.
Fin has good obedience and is always willing to please. His recall is ok unless he sees something to chase.
Fin really needs loving home who understands the breed and can give him time to settle.

Bella, beautifully bred and being rehomed through no fault of her own. Bella is rising 7. Her dad has needed some medical intervention and now is unable to walk her. Her 2 legged siblings have also had some testing and Bella is part of the reason they are unwell. Bella has been an inside doggy for her lifetime but cannot stay inside at her home anymore. Bella's dad wants her to go somewhere that she will have all the things she loves. Inside cuddles, family and friends. Bella loves to play and be with her humans. Bella is great with children and ok with cats. Bella is on the Sunshine Coast.

Mac is an extremely affectionate GSP who has nothing but love to give. All he wants in return is attention (he absolutely loves it!) If he has been walked that day he is a very calm relaxed dog. He's very curious to know what you're doing at all times also. He doesn't like swimming but will happily run for hours. He loves to live with other dog and is good with kids, can sometimes accidentally bump them if he runs around.

Coco is a great family dog as she enjoys lots of exercise and connection with adults and kids. She loves to be involved in all family activities and doesn’t like to be left alone for long periods of time. Coco is very playful and loves playing fetch and running around in the yard or playing with her toys. She is intelligent and can learn new tricks easily. Coco has basic training but sometimes forgets her manners and will jump up. She still needs work walking in the lead.

Coco loves to be loved. She is always up for a cuddle and a scratch and is very affectionate. Last year, Coco lost her best friend who was a boxer. She is great with other dogs and misses her playmate. Coco is crate trained.

Coco is looking for a very special home. Someone who can spend lots of time with her and keep training her.

Bella loves to play and loves cuddles on the couch. Reason for rehoming is due to circumstances change and owner needs to move for work and unfortunately no dogs allowed where they need to go.
The breeder is aware and can't help at this stage.

LOCATION - Victoria- near Essendon

Loki is the boy who was rehomed through Gun dog rescue page with his sister and then the new owner dumped him in pound.
Loki is 3 years old and has basic obedience, he loves being busy and is very active. Very smart boy who could be trained retrieving or scent work. He seems to be good with big dogs but as he needs desexing he does try to hump females so this will need to be sorted asap. We will cover desexing cost, he has been vaccinated.
Loki is not good with cats, chickens and possibly small dogs as he has good prey drive. He is not a fence jumper but due to everything what has happened needs time to settle.
Loki is absolutely beautiful with kids and people, loves cuddles and attention.
Loki was taken out of pound however can not stay where he is due to a small child having allergic reaction to him.

Hunter is fully vaccinated and desexed, Has been trained through a dog trainer.He does have fatty lumps on him that have been checked and are not cancer. He has just been to the vets for his checkup and got the all clear
He is great around dogs. Love to swim and chase the ball and play however has bit of arthritis so needs some natural supplements
to help.
The family had to downsize and move to a property without yard and Hunter is not happy, he was on property so loves to be out and about and sniff. He is a beautiful boy who loves cuddles and would make great companion.
