Hello and Welcome to WonderPaws Dog Training

The thing about Dogs, is that they have their innate way of instantly getting into your heart. They give you those ‘puppy dog eyes’ – you go ‘awww... looook.... soooo cute’ and before you know it, they’re chewing your favourite shoes, running

around the house with your bra, or pulling you across the road to meet another dog! If you have a dream of owning a dog that listens 1st time, every time, then I can help you make that dream a reality. Imagine your dog walking nicely on a lead and completely ignoring that other dog. Or your dog doesn’t find your bra or your favourite pair of shoes exciting at all! What I can offer, is tailor made training to suit your specific needs. I will provide the equipment you’ll need. I’ll help you understand why dogs do what they do, and give you simple and easy instructions to reach your dream. You’ll be amazed by the difference in the 1st session. My name is Jools, and I’m a Nationally Qualified Dog Trainer (NDTF) I grew up in Birmingham (UK), Keir (my husband) is from Manchester (And no! He doesn’t know Liam or Noel Gallagher from Oasis!). We’ve been together since 2003, and we emigrated to Melbourne in 2011. Like most people, I’ve always had dogs in my life, but I’ve naturally developed ‘a knack’ with training them (I‘m known as the Barbara Woodhouse of the family!)
I taught Socks (my Aunts dog) to collect the newspaper from the letterbox and drop it at her feet! With Foster, (the 1st dog I ever owned), I taught him to crawl under a blanket when he let one rip! Paddy (our current dog) knows how to spell the word DOG! Dogs are amazingly, loving animals, and once you’ve developed a concrete gateway of communication with them – they will do pretty much anything! Like us humans, we learn every day. Allow me to help you train your dog so they will do what you ask 1st time, every time.

🐾 This was Norman's final session 🥺 . 🐾 Team Normie have gone from strength to strength since I started working with them . 🐾 Prior to meeting me - Team Norman were falling apart & going in opposite directions . 🐾 NOW..... Normo is listening to his owner in the environment, is engaged with his owner, is behaving inside the home AND becoming a cafè dog 🥳 . 🐾 In our final session we grabbed an enclosed tennis court and practiced some off-leash work - you can clearly see he's engaged then goes to sniff something and turns on his heal when he hears "NORMAN, COME!!" 🥳🥳🥳 NEED HELP WITH YOUR DOG - SEND ME A MESSAGE I'D LOVE TO HELP 🐾

🐾 Zoe has learnt some tricks called 'Turn' - 'Spin' - & 'Shake'..... wihout any input from me 💪 . 🐾 Other than using the skills I've passed to them for other obedience: Sit. Drop. Leave it. Loose Leash Walking. Recall. Play and a few others..... . 🐾 You can achieve anything when you have a relationship with your dog 🤩 . 🐾 When you're both engaged and you know how to communicate with them through the marker system - training becomes much easier . 🐾 Zoe is a high drive dog amd needs lots of mental stimulation and Team Zoe are doing a fantastic job 👌

🐾 It was North's final session the other week (Yep - I'm behind in my socials again!) . 🐾 We went for a walk down the cycle track and she walked beautifully - no pulling 💪 . 🐾 We had a few cyclists pass by - no lunging 💪 . 🐾 We walked through a subway (some dogs freak out because its so echoey.... echoey (joke! 🤣) - she didn't flinch 💪 . 🐾 Team North are now confident in their training to continue without me - meaning my job is done 💕

🐾 It was Archie's last session with me 😭 . 🐾 Team Archie have come so far since we first met . 🐾 They've learnt the marker system, leash pressure on/off, engagement, place command & got him on a better diet 🥰 . 🐾 I'm so proud of them - they've put so much work in to achieve these results 💪 IF YOU NEED HELP WITH YOUR DOG? 🐾 "I feel empowered and that me & Norman appear to be on the same page" is what Norman's owner told me at the start of our 2nd session 💪 . 🐾 His owner has put so much work in - his 'leave it' is on point and his loose leash walking is amazing! (See comment for his LLW) . 🐾 So we kick started his bed command - keep watching to see a funny moment 🤣🤣🤣🤣 . 🐾 He's a funny little character and I'm really enjoying helping Team Norman 💙 LET ME KNOW HOW I CAN HELP - SEND ME A MESSAGE 🐾

Murphy

🐾 Murphy is now learning to walk nicely on leash . 🐾 Since we brgan his provram we've been mainly concentrating on behaviour inside the home... . 🐾 Now those issues are settling down we're beginning to bring some of his knowledge outside . 🐾 Like Loose Leash Walking and some Recall . 🐾 His owners were gobsmacked at how quickly he picked it all up . 🐾 I see this fell again in a couple of weeks and I can't wait 🤩 REACH OUT AND DROP ME A MESSAGE IF YOU'D LIKE HELP WITH YOUR DOG 🐾

Ziggy & Missy

🐾 2 x Tired Daschunds after Place Training . 🐾 Ziggy and Missy were shattered after their session 🥱 . 🐾 I turned to take my Blue leash off Ziggy and found them in their beds 💙💕 . 🐾 Training mentally stimulates their brains and is an important part to a dogs daily routine . 🐾 The trick to any training is to keep sessions short and successful . 🐾 Have a quick break then repeat the session . 🐾 Before you know it, the dog(s) are too tired to do anymore . 🐾 But the trick is not overdoing it to the point they become restless and start making mistakes 😉 WANT TO KNOW HOW TO MENTALLY TIRE YOUR DOG OUT?
