During wars, animals have played various supporting roles, including transportation, communication, and even combat. Horses, mules, and donkeys were used for carrying supplies and troops, while dogs and pigeons served as messengers. Other animals like camels, cats, and even elephants were also utilized for specific tasks.

Aly's pregnancy update ♥️
We have still been walking and swimming although our walks are much shorter now. The normally prestige waters of Elliott Heads is currently very tea tree looking from our recent deluge of rain, but it's always beautiful here no matter what !
Not long to go now, due on the 16th but not sure she will wait that long.

Kitty is always in the lime light, he even has his own kitchen bench 😅
He weighs over 6 kilos now and is such a great fit to our home. He loves hanging with the dogs although he thinks he is a mountain lion 😍
He too loves the puppies and will spend time playing with them as the grow 🩵

Oh - and in amongst all the preparation for Aly's puppy arrival, it appears that I missed her birthday !
Happy late birthday to my beautiful girl ! 🎂🩷🌸🎉🎊🎈

♥️ WE HAVE PUPPIES COMING - confirmed ultrasound ♥️

These two gorgeous Rowesdale kids - Miss Aly and Archie are due to have puppies mid April. Puppies will be ready to go to their new homes approximately mid June.
My puppies are raised inside my home and at four / five weeks start to venture outside with supervised visits.
My kitty cat thinks he is a dog, and loves to hang out and spend time with the puppies.
Below are some pics of Miss Aly ( chocolate ) and Archie ( choc merle )

All animal lovers we need your help please ♥️

Vets For Compassion are absolute legends. I could write pages of how awsome they are and it would never be enough. They are desperate for help due to the catastrophic effects the fires are having on our wild life.
A call out to anyone that can help.
We need stuff from list below. Any of my vet / vet nurse friends that can help with any of these items ?
We also desperately need IMAGE STABILISED BINOCULARS to help find animals. If anyone can help with retail / wholesale contacts for these please let me know. If anyone is happy to chip in, maybe a few of us together can buy them a couple of pairs, it would help our wildlife so much 🙏♥️

📣 UPDATE - We have been inundated with kind offers for supplies so thank you everyone who has tagged, messaged and called. For now, we have enough of what we need, and will be in contact over the coming days with individual people to organise pick and drop offs 📣

Our teams are working around the clock in catastrophic conditions, treating wildlife caught in the devastating fires. Every day, we’re faced with severe burns, dehydration, and suffering - and we desperately need more supplies to keep going.

💔 We’re running low on essential items, and we need your help!

📌 Items urgently needed:
✅ Saline bags (expired is OK!)
✅ Silver burns dressings
✅ Large pouches (for macropods 🦘)
✅ Towels (clean but used is fine!)
✅ Bottled water & saline (for irrigation & hydration)
✅ Image stabilising binoculars (for spotting injured wildlife from a distance 🔭)

Such a gorgeous boy inside and out ♥️
Bailey's Sydney family are first time puppy owners and were referred to me by their family friend who already has a Rowesdale kid of their own.
With continued support along their puppy journey they are rocking their little superstar 🌟💛 ⭐️
The rest is history - totally smitten 🩵

NB - car was stationary for pic, and windows closed and safety harness on while travelling - precious cargo on board 🐾🐾
