A Brisbane, foster based rescue, we aim to maintain a healthy and responsible management plan for canines that have been displaced from their homes. We place all of our dogs into loving foster homes. We place the highest importance on enabling them to be happy and healthy in a loving foster home from the moment they arrive. Our dedicated foster carers help the canines to adjust to their new life w

hilst our team organise all necessary veterinary work to be carried out. We believe in educating the public about responsible pet ownership by leading with example. All animals that come through our rescue are de-sexed in an effort to stop the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies. Advice is given to new owners to maintain the regime for their new pet. All of our canines are assessed for health, temperament, likes and dislikes in order to match them up with their most compatible new adoptive owners. Do you remember nearly 2 years ago we added some Clumber Spaniels to the ABC Clan?

Bambi, Pollyanna and Lily, three girls joined us after their mum had passed away, these girls were super sweet seniors. Sadly, all three had quite a few medical issues that needed addressing, these started with desexing, mammary cancers, eye issues, skin issues, urianary issues and dental disease. All girls have had numerous surgeries to try and give them quality of life,
Sadly we said goodbye to Miss Lilly about a year later, ?but Our Bambi and Polly are still doing so well, both at the ripe ole age of 14.

We can’t thank our carers enough to taking on and caring for our senior babes and giving them everything they need.

Jesse is a darling, and a gentle being. He is timid around a lot of things, but he's slowly exploring and gaining confidence.
Jesse loves the company of his humans and his foster brother, and would definitely love a fur sibling he can play with. He loves a good game of smack down and rough and tumble. He's a total softy and wants nothing more than to be at your feet, on your lap or sleeping beside you. He is a typical cuddly and loyal staffy.

He'd make a great Tradie dog so he can help you throughout the day doing stuff 👍

Jesse has learnt that his meals and treats are aplenty, so he now sits calmly to wait for food, and slowly eats.

He is extremely smart and learns things very quickly. He still needs some help with toilet training, but his accidents are generally because he's playing, and going outside will interrupt his time lol.

Jesse is going to be an extremely loyal dog and is waiting for his forever love to come and meet him.

EEEEEEK! Yes, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you, you are seeing clearly! DOZER IS SITTING UP! He is able to sit and stand for short periods before his body says no more. He is still have some eating and drinking difficulty but he is doing amazing. 🩷 Your prayers and well wishes have certainly helped!

Benny’s appetite is strong, but still no poop 😭 We are heading back in to the vets to see what else we can do. He’s getting slower, less vocalising but still has his appetite and Igor’s a snuggle but he’s gotta feel like sh*t. 10 weeks of not pooing is insane.

This is our current Gumnuts situation. When her legs are straight her patellas are in a great place, but when she’s crouched it means they have luxated! Before surgery Gumnut couldn’t even get them in the right place so we certainly have some progress. The surgeon is currently discussing another surgery to try and get Gumnuts legs in place 💜

It’s nearly time, she can’t grow any bigger… she’ll burst 😳 For those that don’t know, Brachycephalic breeds can’t or shouldn’t whelp naturally, due to their airways it’s not safe! So for miss H, she is being checked daily by our vet with a blood test to see where Mama is at and an ultrasound to see what babies are doing. Once both of these align she will go in for a cesarean section. 💜 Today is not the day… but it’s looking like tomorrow maybe close.

Wahhhh Our beautiful Gumnut got the all clear, she was doing so, so well and then this happened. 😭 We are heading in to see Dr Jo this afternoon.
