✨ BEST Round 1! ✨

Our defending champions are back and kicking off with fantastic results—but what’s even more special is the incredible feedback from spectators I have received over the weekend. They’ve shared their admiration for the way our riders show up for each other—cheering, laughing, and being the first to noticed when mistakes happen they are simple human errors, showing true horsemanship.

It’s a real credit to these kids and their amazing support networks that their sportsmanship AND horsemanship don’t go unnoticed. Their unwavering support for one another proves that true champions shine far beyond the scoreboard.

Well done, girls—in many more ways than one! 💚

With our final rally of the year approaching and the holidays around the corner, consider giving the gift of support by making a donation to our GoFundMe! 🎄🎁

⭐️ Safety Upgrades on Our Cross-Country Course
✨ Replacing Wiring Supports: All wiring supports on jumps need to be replaced with MIPS technology, at $600 per installation.
✨ Installing Moveable Anchors and Frangible Devices: These updates ensure top safety standards for all jumps.
✨ XC assessment required by Equestrian Australia so we can host competitions and events. These events bring valuable income to our club!
✨ Jump Renovations: Several jumps need to be torn down, renovated, or redesigned to meet current safety standards.

✨ Yard Clips: Replacing most clips with durable marine-grade options.

⭐️November Rally Wrap-Up ⭐️

This rally, we switched things up with an exciting focus on musical rides! Members collaborated to learn patterns, develop routines, and perform for one another. It was inspiring to see the riders create, problem-solve, and ensure everyone felt included, regardless of their experience level.

To finish off the day, we explored the cross-country course together as a club. We assessed each jump to see which ones need attention to meet Pony Club safety standards. There’s a lot of work ahead to get the course in safe, usable condition. A huge thank you to those who have already donated—if you haven’t yet, please consider supporting us in providing these hard-working kids with a few safe XC jumps!

Not only were our riders hard at work, behind the scenes parents and supporters worked HARD to clear out and clean up our outdoor storage space, one major task ticked off the check list.

⭐️ October Rally Wrap-Up ⭐️

One word: FANTASTIC!

This month, we had the pleasure of hosting Loddon PC for a joint rally. What a lovely club, with even lovelier riders!

They made the most of their stay in our beautiful Bellarine area, enjoying the beaches, bushland, and, of course, our famous “four seasons in one day” weather! We’re already looking forward to their next visit.

The rally was packed with dressage, cross-country, show jumping, and trail riding. It’s always a joy to watch our members grow in confidence and deepen their understanding of their horses month after month.

We were also thrilled to welcome several new members and their families to BHDPC. Our little club is growing, which brings me to some exciting news! We’ve received the outlines for our Ready2Ride program and are hard at work getting everything ready to launch!

How spoilt are our members? 🐴 Coach Allie has been hosting theory sessions with an adorable twist – her 3.5-week-old foal! 💕 Working in small groups and going over the PC manuals, our members have also been getting hands-on with some mini lessons in foal handling too. Learning and cuteness overload all in one!

With the weather getting nicer and the days getting longer, this should be a regular occurrence 🥹

September Rally Wrap-Up ⭐️

After some wild spring windstorms, we were finally able to host our rally! Unfortunately, due to a last-minute weather cancellation, we couldn't host Jill from Australian Barrel Horse Association as planned. However, we're excited to announce that she’s now booked for our December rally!

On a positive note, Tilly from Fair.equestrian stepped in at the last minute to get all the girls going in their show jumping. A huge thank you to Tilly for coming through!

In addition to show jumping, all riders took part in a mock dressage competition to prepare for the next round of BEDS. Lucky Allie got to judge from the warmth of her car while the members braved the elements. Meanwhile, non-riding members learned how to scribe for a judge — and wow, can they text fast!

🤠 NEXT RALLY 🤠

Our September rally is shaping up to be one of the best yet! We’re thrilled to welcome Australian Barrel Horse Association (ABHA) member Jill Tunkin from Sporting Horse Australia as the highlight of our western-themed rally.

Riders, members, and families—don’t forget to bring your best western-themed outfits! We can’t wait to see who wins “best dressed.”

And don’t worry, dads & father figures—we haven’t forgotten it’s your special day. We’ve got some fun games and activities planned just for you, and we’d love for you to join in!

BHDPC is excited to announce that we are now accepting expressions of interest for our new Ready2Ride program!

The Ready2Ride membership, also known as the “Rookie” membership, is designed specifically for young riders eager to begin their journey in pony club.

✨ For children aged 10 and under
✨ Lead line & beginner rider classes
✨ Half-day rallies
