Grooming Tips Inbetween Appointments 🐾

• If you have a long hair breed, Brush your dog with a slicker brush. Makes sure to follow through with a metal wide tooth comb to catch any knots or matting that may have been missed.

• Check your dogs ears for any unwanted ear wax that will need to be cleaned. (This is extremely important if your dog swims and has floppy ears). The moisture traps inside, sticking to the hair, creating a warm area for bacteria to grown and cause ear infections.

• Nail trimming either weekly or fortnightly. This will prevent the quick from growing and your dog building a better relationship with nail clipping.

• Checking for grass seeds throughout your dogs fur. These little buggers get trapped within your dogs fur and skin creating mats and even worse health problems.

• Checking over for hot spots. These can be so nasty and painful for your dog.
