Who doesn’t like breakfast in bed while watching your favourite movie? For Betty Boo, it’s a chookies video with hens scratching, walking, clucking. The sounds inspire her to eat more (she definitely eats more). I hope she’s imagining her life when she’s walking again, but this time on the ground, with friends instead of in a cage.

Betty Boo. I’ve been doing Comfrey poultices on her back & today tried her on fresh comfrey leaf. As long as rolled up into little balls, she gobbled it down. Go Betty boo. You’ll be standing very soon! (See previous posts for Betty boo story). ❤️🙏

Just wanted to let you know that the 3 girls I got (beerwah) are doing so so well! They eat out of my hand and seem happy enough to be picked up and handled. One of them follows me around absolutely everywhere 🩷

Beerwah rescue, health-check & adoption day done! 12 girls out of 297 will stay with us in WGAC hen hospitals at Mullumbimby NSW & in Brookfield Brisbane.
100’s of girls went to their forever homes with Mother Clucker parents who will love ve and care for them with our support.

UPDATE. Millie Cow found her home with one of our wonderful Mother Cluckers - Drew from Capalaba. She has some bovine friends so can eat a d laze her days away. Thankyou Kelsey for caring to find her a home, Natalie from Cranky's FARM for transporting her to Drew and to Drew for offering her a caring home. Photos below of her making new friends. ❤️
Who Gives A Moo? Ok, I know we’re all about chickens but someone out there can save this gorgeous girl.
We have a desperate situation up in Brookfield, Brisbane. A cow living next door to Kelsey (our volunteer & committee member) on her landlords property, is breaking out (suspect this is because she’s looking for feed) the owner was coming to shoot her! Owner has just now agreed to relinquish ownership of cow to a sanctuary or home of our choosing. But timing is issue here.
Natalie from Crankys Farm #crankysfarm can help with temporary foster carer in 2wks time & will set up secure enclosure for her this weekend. But she needs a permanent caring home where she can live out her life with other cows and not used for breeding or meat! Sooner the better please!
Do you have other cows & if so, would you have room for her? Will only go to home with other cows and person who knows how to look after cows.
