My youngest enjoying play time the the Singapura adults. It never ceases to amaze me how this breed is so relaxed & drawn to children. They seem to have a very special connection that I have never seen in the many breeds of cats that I have bred over my years as a breeder.
They show so much love, tolerance & maternal instincts..

That time of year has now once again snuck up on us so quickly.

We hope all our kitten families past & new adopting parents to be have a wonderful & safe festive season with friends & families.
Due to surgery l will be taking things a bit slower for a few months till I recover.
I have 3 litters born, with all being so delightfully gorgeous & thriving well.
As I have said, those on the waiting list will be contacted when babies are required to have an official deposit placed.

Pictures will begin as soon as I am able to, before they turn into little 4 pawed zoomies.

I have had surgery today & will require a little while to recover. All is well with mum cats & new kittens are doing well. Two experienced friends are at home caring for fur & feathered critters in my absence

Please be patient those families on the waiting list, when I am able to get in touch l will.
All kittens, are newborns, so lots of time to sort adoptions out.
Good meds are now starting to kick in now so time to nod off lol
When I can I will contact people on the waiting list.

HOW MUCH FOR A CAT?

Let me tell you a few words, yes to you, the person who sends an email, just to ask for the price. To those who call and after hearing the price surprised say: "I can buy a cheaper kitten elsewhere." “That’s too expensive “ “ I can get one 3/4 of the price“ blah blah blah ….
I'm talking to you too; who doesn't care about paper/pedigree, because you want "just have a company tax". No cat is "just a companion cat".

Behind every purebred kitten is a BREEDER. I use capital letters to differentiate a breeder from a kitten factory or BYB (BackYardBreeder, the ones who don’t give a Sh*t about the cats/kittens, the real greedy ones only in it for money )

A proper ethical reputable breeder will not breed and sell unregistered cats, which does not protect the integrity of the breed. Registration (paper/pedigree) is a pedigree register that documents the bloodline and enables you to keep track of any family health issues.

When you tell a breeder that you don't care about papers, that the cat doesn't need to be registered, you are really telling the breeder, that you care nothing about the kitten's health. That you just want the cheapest you can find! That to me is a red flag and you won’t get one of my babies!

When you buy a kitten from a reputable and high-quality breeder, the breeder feels responsible for the health of each kitten; this breeder doesn't skips vacations, loses sleep, and most of the personal home space has been turned into space for the cats. Because we care about the breed and our animals and want to preserve this breed ( Singapura) we want the best for this breed.

The truly passionate breeder who loves the breed puts his/hers whole heart and soul into it. Not only when it comes to kittens for adoption, but also with every kitten buyer who now has a part of its heart and is now a member of the breeder's extended family.

Breeders worry about their kittens, even after they leave the breeder and take them back without asking or helping to find a good rehoming home, they are there to answer questions even if they can't always do anything they are there for support, advice and comfort.

A breeder will “get his hands dirty,” often burdened with everything a childbirth entails. Cause that's what life is all about... In the middle of birth and death, life happens.
The wheel continues to spin, even after sad losses.

A breeder does tests, x-rays, analyses, emergency operations, vaccinations, buys food and cat litter in bulk quantities, registers the kittens so that they receive pedigree, deworms if outdoor cats are in the home, & often have access to an enclosed cat play area, they ID-marks their kittens with a microchip implant & desexes them.

Last but not least, it is the breeder who chooses the families, who are lucky enough to buy one of the kittens.
Yes, you read that right. A real breeder chooses who gets to buy a kitten, because the breeder doesn't really make any money selling kittens, there are too many costs involved in raising healthy registered kittens.

There is no compensation large enough, that can compensate for the investments that a breeder makes. They are trying to match the right cat with the right family. A breeder says no more often than yes..
A good breeder will have criteria set for those who want to continue breeding on the bloodlines they work with. Why? Because breeding is a responsibility that should never, ever be taken lightly, breeding is a lifestyle choice reserved ONLY for the dedicated few willing to make sacrifice. There are statistics showing that most breeders last for about 5 years.

Because a kitten, is not just, a companion cat! It is the breeder's legacy, it is a little boy or girl's best friend, it is a protector/playmate of a young child, therapy for the elderly or needy, a family member and someone's whole world!!!

Hoping a few of my beautiful girls may be early in their pregnancies, fingers crossed.

Follow us for updates & the Web site where I will update when we have exciting news.
The waiting list has been re opened & I am accepting expressions of interest to adopt kittens to special families & singles.
Looking forward to a well deserved break from Cat Shows & Stewarding, its been a busy year with many personal family challenges.
COTY (Cat of the year) presentations are in Nov, fingers crossed that my babies have achieved a few awards.
