CRATE TRAINING 101

All dogs should at least be made familiar with a crate as early as possible. One very basic reason is if they ever have to go into a crate for an emergency reason, they won't freak out & potentially hurt themselves. So many reasons why dogs can need to be put in a crate-
-Vets
-travelling
-emergency situations (flood/fires/evacuation)
-if you ever want to board your dog
-if you ever want your dog trained at a dog training facility
Etc etc

At the top end, it helps them to have their own space that they feel comfortable & safe in that you can also close off if need be, either for their safety or your convenience.

It's so unfortunate that people see it as a bad thing. If crate training is done properly, not only is there no stress to the dog, it can improve their lives & make it easier, and shock horror-they can love their own space!

IF introduced incorrectly, just like every other tool that can be misused (leash, collar etc) yes, it can mean a dog can become scared of a crate.

Well done for getting thru your first day back on the road Mumma C 🐾❤️🐾

Was a huge change after 2020 and shifting the mobile service to all onsite in Melbourne , was a good change and allowed other services etc … now it’s back to Mobile and getting a new client base down this way … and retaining many existing whom like a drive and cuppa 😉 lol

So glad your first day went well, we are proud of you .. glad your yellow gum boots were comfortable 😉 let’s get some work boots asap though hey lol 😂
