We have been quiet here at HylandMyst Australian Cobberdogs for the last little while. Here are some updated photos of Rutlands' Lil Sugar n Spice (Sugar) and Sharchums Golden Fairy Floss (Flossy), our two breeding girls. Sugar is now retired and enjoying life to the fullest, while Flossy has just come of age to think about having some puppies of her own. Watch this space :-)

Is Cobberdog just another name for a Labradoodle? There are still some who continue to tout the myth that 'Cobberdog' and 'Labradoodle' names are interchangeable. Others say that the Australian Cobberdog is a Poodle X and just another 'doodle'.​NEITHER

After several days of heavy rain, the remaining 3 puppies had their first bath today. These beautiful boys all wait for their perfect human(s) to find them. Each has a perfect Australian Cobberdog therapy temperament, and each is just lovely and will mature to a small-medium. We still have:

Prince Phillip, first born with a totally chocolate coat, aka Pip aka Pippin - he is very cute and reminds me of a hobbit with his gorgeous hairy feet

Prince George, with a white stripe on his chest and already showing the signs of silvering off to a stunning cafe au lait coloured coat. Georgy Boy melts the hearts of everyone who meets him.

Prince Charles aka Charlie Boy is the most amazing puppy who just wants to be with humans.

Sunny days are always fun days. The puppies had full access to the back yard today - and they loved it! They are thoroughly enjoying life as they wait for new homes.

Please say hello to HylandMyst Prince Louis, son of HylandMyst Wren and Tegans Flash the Cash. Louis will mature to a small medium. Every day I bring one of the six remaining puppies into the living space so that they can interact one-on-one with me, and with Sugar and Flossy. They have a small crate as their 'safe space'. Here is HylandMyst Prince Louis having a rest. He is so gentle, and just wants to be close to people. He is quick to learn the rules and is very gentle. Louis loves his cuddles. This amazing litter of 9, 3 girls and 6 boys, are going to be little kings and queens in their new homes. They are all incredibly laid back. In fact, one of them had me concerned she might be deaf. At their microchipping and vaccination I asked the vet to test her. She was about 6th in line. He looked me right in the eyes and said “This is the most laid-back litter of puppies I have ever encountered. I don’t think any of them would react to the standard loud clap behind the head.” He then proceeded to do so for the rest of the litter. Zero fright response! Oh, and her hearing is just fine! She is simply very placid. In light of recent events, it’s fitting they all have royal names. Which one appeals to you the most?

Please welcome HylandMyst Princess Lilibet, with the light blue collar. The smallest puppy in the litter, she knows how to hold her own with the bigger pups. She is playful and loving, and adores one-on-one attention.

Please welcome HylandMyst Prince George, with the white collar. His coat will soften over time into the gorgeous silvery cafe colour that is so prized. He is gentle and attentive and just loves his cuddles. I just love this boy's playfulness and gentleness.

Where have the last 6.5 weeks gone? Sugar's babies are all growing fast, and have now all been allocated to their new families. Thanks for watching this space and hopefully we will bring you more information and more puppies next year :-)
