When you’re toilet training your puppy, there’s some key things to remember.
Take them to the grass AS SOON AS THEY WAKE UP! And also about 10-15minutes after food. Set a timer and take them every 15-30minutes and then you can slowly stretch the time.
Wait until they sniff and circle the grass and ONLY when they start going, use your command- mine is “do wees” others use “go potty” or “toilet”. Don’t be tempted to say it before they are actually going - they need to learn that the command is associated with weeing and not just grass time. Say it as many times as you can until they stop and then finish with “good pup”.
They’ll pick it up pretty quickly! When they have accidents - it’s always OUR FAULT! Not theirs.
Be proactive and preemptive and you’ll have yourself a trained pup in no time 🥳💗🐶

Nutrition is SO important for both new mummas AND their babies. Did you know that a rough guide to feeding lactating mums is to give their normal diet plus one cup of puppy kibble per puppy per day! That’s a LOT of food 🍲
We feed a premium puppy kibble with a single protein, prime 100 rolls, sardines, eggs, home cooked chicken. Whatever is tasty and nutritious 💗. Puppy kibble is the main ingredient as it has a higher volume of calcium which can help prevent “milk fever” or eclampsia in dogs.
All this nourishing food and plenty of water helps Lacey produce the best milk possible for these 9 little growing bodies 🐶. Especially when the milk bar is open 24/7 we need to keep up all the delicious goodness for our mumma dogs 💗
