⚖️ If someone asked me what a severely mineral-deficient horse versus a horse fed a balanced diet looked like as a comparison, I think I would show them these two photos.

🐴 There are zero filters or enhancements used on these images, and while there is a variation in the natural lighting, there is no denying that this horse is looking and feeling a million bucks in comparison to his former self.

📊 Severe sun bleaching and coat fading is not normal, not healthy, and it shouldn’t be approached with a Band-Aid solution like rugging or stabling. It is more often than not an indication of dietary deficiencies or imbalances that need to be addressed.

🐎 The off the track Thoroughbred gelding pictured below was scheduled for an External Equine Nutrition Consultation as soon as his current owner purchased him. From there, we have managed him nutritionally while he went through the motions of track to hack, and even as he transitioned from one property to another with completely different grasses.
