I promised to update on beautiful babies progress , well first of all , Georgie had gone back into lameness and is yet again on the mend , we had been in Exeter since around April but it was so pasture improved , and clover , and Wet , we found a more suitable property out side of the highlands with more native grass and firmer ground …
Grace …. She has been in work and is just every day a little more trusting, a little more free , a little more relaxed, she was treated for ulcers , not just with omeprozole but at the core , which was teaching her the world that she knew which was full of monsters, is gone … I think she’s accepting the safe feeling is not going to come with repercussions..❤️❤️❤️❤️

Can’t believe it’s been this long since I posted , so much has happened …. Georgie gained her freedom! Heart bar shoes, arthropen after 8 weeks of box rest and she just lapped up the attention! And then!!!! She was getting a small yard for the days and in at night, then a somewhat bigger paddock she shares with grace…. Grace was struggling to put on condition, but treated for ulcers and some kind hands and great feed she is a happy little chestnut! She has come leaps and bounds , Gina and Nancy continue to live their best lives, we put round bales in for them to start getting ready for winter , bee and Leroy are the best friends ❤️❤️❤️

Our Georgie definitely doesn’t hate being stabled , we take her out for a wander and a pick a few times a day , and a whole lot of pampering, everyone that meets her just melts their hearts to her gentle nature, she will be getting scans next week to see exactly what we are dealing with and at the same time will test her insulin levels , we are giving her the best fighting chance we can , but after our experience with our beautiful effie that we rescued with her that had to be put to sleep it just terrifies me 😓but we need to know what her future and present holds ♥️ side note we put her on the digestive eq and vm with speedi beet, fibre ezy fibre essentials, lupins, salt, and apple cider vinegar it’s been less then a week and already starting to see a huge glow in her .... the rest of the herd are just troopers , they just Adapt and thrive Linda Ann

Well the herd settled well, Georgie spent her first night in her stable and I spent all night worrying, for absolutely no good reason, she absolutely loves being doted over , the other guys are all settled also , been a very stressful few days , not quite ready to be complacent yet but I’m a little relieved 😌

Been quiet the last few weeks, our Georgie has struggled with mechanical laminitis, and it’s time for us to get very serious about her recovery,
So next week it’s time for us to move her, and stable her 24/7 for the up coming weeks, very clean stable and a nothing short of platinum diet, she will be starting on the poseidon range, both vm and eq with some free access to appropriate hay ❤️ she never seizes to amaze me, she’s always just happy for a bit of love..even if she’s in pain as soon as she feels someone touch her she just instantly feels relief, her journey is for the long haul ..... and she appreciates any love and support , I’m sure she won’t love being away from her herd, but I hope she understands me when i tell her it’s for the love of her recovery and I with Kathryn and Emma are with her each and every step of the way without fail!
She has her good days and her bad days, we have really been struggling with seedy toe, this relentless rain is just chaos and no good for her already damaged feet ...but baring in mind, it’s not just healthy feet we aim for, it’s a balancing act of healthy feet, healthy gut, healthy mind .....
Georgie and her herd are my heart and soul! I will do everything I can for every single one of them❤️

We are always looking for rugs , 6’ 6’3 and 5’6 sized especially with winter coming up, we don’t want them losing the conditions they are putting on

And our late effie, we rescued them in January 2022, Georgie the shire and the thoroughbreds, Georgie has a degree of mechanical laminitis, currently chasing seedy toe she is now 9, the thoroughbreds I worked with in 2012, they are 12, 13, 17 , our Effie sadly had to make the call and put her to sleep, she had very severe laminitis, that had caused an infection into her bone, she had 3mm of sole , the kindest thing we could do was free her of her pain, as her herd stood and mourned , it was a very hard decision, every day they are a little bit sounder, a little bit more confident
We are in the process of building a stable for our Georgie to give her the best chance of recovery...
