ROCKY IS SOLD!! 👍🏼
Anyone after a good solid horse?
This little fella is for sale and as safe as a bank 😉
No, truly, the only reason I put this here is because I’ve bought 2 horses from this trainer, sight unseen, and they are absolutely spot on.
“Rocky” is rising 14, 14.2, registered QH and been there done that.
Trails, turn-back horse, lead breakers off him, throw a rope, crack a whip, travels well, works a cow……nothin fazes him.
Hasn’t been touched for a month, just get on and ride.
Female trainers personal horse, but he’s sitting in the paddock and too good to leave laying around. He’s located in Mudgee, NSW.
I have a lot of inquiries from people wanting a solid, well behaved, predictable, do anything horse. Well……..
While I checked cattle on Rusty this morning, Taya and Bridget went for their final ride of the year up the hill behind our farm.
We met at the dam upon their return…..Bridget’s horse Mason thought HE was the sweaty and hottest horse, so………
Another beautiful evening, cooling down nicely…….
This week I had “Banjo” dropped off for some training.
He’s 12 and lives his perfect life being looked after by his wonderful loving owner, but now she’s ready to have him re-started so they can get out and about riding some trails.
He hasn’t been ridden for some time and by the feel of him when he turned up his groundwork consisted pretty much of just lunging….running around in circles.
So before I get on ANY horse, I want to develop some kind of connection and understanding so they’re think TO ME. Which I see as kinda important if you’re about to climb on a 1/2 ton of animal! 😉
This video shows the progression from the first session……to a few hours training later. As you can see, Banjo is thinking inward to me with much better shape in his body. He’s going to be fun.
I think we all know “that” person in our life don’t we?
For Rusty….Wally, is “that” person 😂😂😂
George is here for a couple of weeks….which may stretch out to 3 with all this rain we’ve had and meant to get next week!!😩
We’re getting him listening and focused, as he was a bit pushy on the ground. We’re working on float loading as he’s not real keen on that (video to follow) and also he’s a bit funny with bridling as well.
He’s a really nice little fella, super smart and really energetic.
This video just shows some of our second and third session in the yard, working on getting George to firstly acknowledge me! then turn his focus to the inside of the circle to work on his straightness in the circle, losing the nose out over the fence we encountered in our first session (which was in the rain so I didn’t video that and ruin my phone!😆)
Just hanging out with George, playin’ soccer
