Scary, but a client has talked me into going to mining lands/bush for a few days....
Lightning Ridge here I come.
Can't decide if I should "Priscilla" it or not....
But I've packed the reciprocating saw & 3 batteries!
With the lack of pooch grooming expected, I may have to resort to Dingo nail painting. Hoping I don't have to deal with a Red Dog, red cat!
Wish me well folks, I may not return. ;)

All too often I'm seeing these sorts of posts.
Thankfully soon NSW will have legislation in place to prevent RE's/owners for refusing pets, but SADLY, I'm sure they'll find other ways to refuse a tenant.

An awesome journey for this is/was my Xmas dream.
Bought this little caravan (some of you have heard about her), and today her makeover ended except for a few small tweaks.
I'm so grateful to my wonderful builder/s and visionaries for being a part of the journey. I'll post pre-look pics (diff colour scheme/flooring) to what we started with in comments, but layout the same. Caravan yet to be named....perhaps F***y as my car is named Freida.
I've been told no more projects....but............LOL

Its been a week of newbie Pet Clip kids...
Welcomed Rufus, Princess, Pepe & Linus (pictured) to the family.
Sadly, Linus's breeder decided to try her hand at grooming before he arrived to his new mum, hence why his whiskers are missing :/
They'll grow in. Linus has a HUGE following already from big brother Charlie & big sister Lucy (last pic). A house full of Oodles....I must remember not to put a D in front. LOL.

Louie Vuitton arrived this week and has been having a sleepover since Tuesday. He'll be delivered to his mum on Monday. He's nuts and tons of fun. The current youngest member of the Pet Clips family and the only one to have slept on my bed!

Please READ the entire POST!
There appears to have been misunderstandings (or lack of reading correctly) a previous post in regards to my considering retirement. Yes, I was considering it at the END of 2023, however a number of things have changed that....read on!
The less & shorter days have helped, even though my shoulders are still a wreck some days. Medication helps ;)
Cutting back on difficult pooches & their parents has also helped.
So, I will NOT be retiring at the end of this year unless something majorly untoward occurs.
I AM taking new clients, 3 of which I did this week and all pooches & parents are devine.
I am limiting how many a day I do so as to try and avoid pain.
I'm in action Tues, Thurs, Fri & alternate Saturdays.
With limited numbers (as above) I appreciate your patience for an appointment or please book well in advance.
To all of you that have stood by me the past few months and NOT wandered off to other pastures, I am truly grateful & appreciative for your loyalty & understanding.

Folks,
I'll be changing Boorowa back to Thursdays after the next cycle.
This is for a few reasons....
1: Due to less working days (semi retirement), that I announced a while back, I can combine Boorowa & Harden when required.
2: My GP is at Boorowa, so I can schedule appointments with him before/after MY pooch appointments.
If this is unsatisfactory for you, then I apologise. Boorowa ONLY went to Tues for 2 clients, neither of them are now active clients.
*I'm happy to work with my Boorowa clients so we are all happy, but my medical appointments need to also occur AND I won't deal with self entitled diva's like I've just had too tonight. WE, as a team will always make it happen. Thanks guys for being a part of the Pet Clips family. X

I'm currently on medical leave until after easter folks.
It also coincides with a birthday, unsure if that's a good or bad thing yet...but presents will be appreciated :P
Very early movement (pre physio) would appear I have a lot more movement in my shoulders already, we'll see how it progresses.
If you message me, there WILL be a delay for response.
Thanks for your understanding...37yrs of this work has finally caught up :/

A candle for two special Pet Clips family members that have crossed the rainbow bridge in the past few weeks.
Jemima (4yrs old), the sweetest Dachshund I've met in 37yrs of grooming, a truly beautiful little lady.
And Louie who was one of the very first Pet Clips family members.
A wonderful mature man, whose life was cut short by cancer at just 11yrs old.
Both gone way way too soon. Rest in Peace my beautiful children, I'll be there to groom you both again one day. X
Love & condolences to both Jemima & Louie's families.
Always in many of our hearts.

Hi folks,
I've started some medical treatment as of today...
Achilles had injections & both shoulders next.
So, for the next wee while I need a chair at each client & someone to lift for me at each client please. I know you'll all be supportive whilst I do these treatments & get on the mend. I can help with the lifting, but I need that chair!

This is a interesting enough read, but I'm gobsmacked with Sydney grooming prices!
I worked at Dogs@Play when they first opened several years ago. The fees now are excessive, or maybe I'm too cheap! ;)

Designer dogs have become the new designer bag, but unlike a Chanel clutch they require serious upkeep and owners are stuck paying up.

No Show (not home when I arrive) & less then 24hr cancellation invokes full booked grooming fee AND rebooking must also be paid in advance.
Its not reasonable that I use my fuel & time to arrive & no one is home for me to do my job. It is also unreasonable that others may have had to wait for an appointment when this occurs.
If the fees are not paid within 3 days, I simply will blacklist you.....easy!

After 37yrs of grooming, I'm cutting back.
Hard to believe I was just 17 when this gig started, and its been a blast, wow at some of the amazing pooches ( & cats) along the way! The memories are astounding....right back to a Giant Schnauzer named Sanchez I bathed & dried 37yrs ago at Drummoyne....he almost came upto my shoulders! Roxy & Caesar, the Danes of Bondi, every fortnight with a bunch of German Sheps. An awesome Dobe X security dog (Lane Cove salon) from a high class smash repairs in Hunters Hill...he was mean, rude & untrustworthy...but in the salon, with his muzzle off, a Lamb! Joe the Cocker spaniel (Joe Cocker) in the gold coast...Harley the Persian X cat that arrived at the Merrylands (NSW) salon every other Sat in the jacket of his dad, straight off the Haley Davidson!
It's been an amazing journey, bites and all
All my regulars are safely ensconced in my diary, but I will be cutting back more over the coming year.
My diary is closed to new clients & those that I see less than 3 times a year.
I'm going to let myself off the hook though, & will groom for those I personally invite to join the Pet Clips family.
Wishing all well, most of you I'll be seeing soon.

I continuously see people walking their dogs in the middle of the day. So far, none of my clients though thankfully.
Consider the ground heat this way, IF you won't walk on it bare footed, then DON'T make your dog!
