Classes are opening for my next round of group classes starting May 13. Classes will be Monday nights for six weeks. One class time slot is full from my waiting list but I have 10 spots available! Class times will be 5-6pm, 6-7pm, and 7-8pm. I will arrange dogs in the appropriate classes unless a specific time is required. Thanks for trusting Elgin County Canine with your pup!

I will be starting another group of classes on Monday's starting May 13. It will be the same format, with a puppy only time slot, and two others for intermediate classes. The times will be the same 5-6pm, 6-7pm and 7-8pm. Please reach out if you are interested as I have a few on the waiting list now but we are not full.

If your dog has reactivity issues or is not fit for group lessons I do offer private session packages. Please feel free to reach out by email at [email protected], instagram at or on Facebook Elgin County Canine and I will respond as soon as I can.

I've had one puppy spot open up for my training class starting April 1st until May 6th. The time slot is 7-8pm, this time slot is specific to puppy aged dogs for foundation building obedience! A bit about me! My name is Sean James and I have been involved with dogs since a very young age! I am currently a canine handler for an Ontario police service and have been in that unit for almost 11 years. Throughout the last 11 years, I have taken several courses on dog behaviour, proper remote collar use, scent detection, tracking, bite development, obedience and through my own experiences learned how to train those same disciplines in ways that work for me. I believe I am well versed in many ways to achieve your training goals and understand that each dog is different and may need a change in style to achieve those goals. I am by no means a dog guru but I believe I can help your dog become the loving companion that you want to be able to trust and enjoy without worry.
