The cat foods in the market are expensive because they are all imported, thus becoming victim to high import taxes and shipping costs. Some importers also artificially raise prices by hoarding supply.

Even though many people think cats love drinking milk, thanks to pop culture influences like Tom & Jerry, milk is actually not a good food for them!

Cats can’t digest milk because they are lactose intolerant. Drinking it can give them an upset stomach, diarrhea, and overall discomfort.

Milk doesn’t give cats any essential nutrients either. It just adds extra calories that can make them gain weight and suffer health problems if they drink too much.

For a happy, healthy kitty, stick to fresh water, homemade meals like boiled chicken, and good cat food like Chonk. Your cat will feel much better!

While pet stores like at Katabon might seem like an easy place to get a new cat, you could unknowingly be supporting harmful practices in the pet industry.

Many breeders and pet shops care more about profits than the cats. Some of these breeders try to make "designer" cats through excessive cross-breeding, which can cause serious health problems, genetic deforms, and shorter lifespans.

Pet shops also keep cats in cramped, unhealthy spaces, making them stressed or sick before they’re sold. Buying from these places just continues these bad practices.

Chonk has a great shelf life, but once you open the pack for the first time, the food can start to lose its freshness overtime, just like any other packaged foods.

So we suggest finishing the pack in 4-6 weeks so your cat gets the best taste and nutrition from each meal.

Once opened, air, moisture, and light can affect the food, even if you store it the right way. Always keep the bag properly sealed and in a cool, dry place to keep it fresh as long as you can.

And for the best quality, try to use up the food within a month. Your cat will love the fresh, yummy meals!

You may not believe it, but yes, it IS possible for your kitty to get depression. Cats are capable of experiencing greater depths of emotions than we humans give them credit for.

A depressed cat may become withdrawn, stop playing, or lose interest in things they once loved. They might also sleep more, eat less, groom themselves less often, or p*e outside the litterbox.

Changes in their environment, like moving homes, losing a companion, or even boredom, can trigger these feelings.

To help a sad cat, try to engage them with toys, playtime, or new experiences. Sometimes, simple things like more attention or a cozy spot can make a big difference.

If the sadness continues, a visit to the vet may be necessary to rule out any health problems.

Flu season is here, so we have to stay alert!

Cat flu is a virus that, much like human flu, can leave your kitty with a fever and runny nose and eyes.

It is usually not so serious in healthy cats. But it can be dangerous, and even fatal, in kittens and older cats.

For symptoms, look for signs like:

•Sneezing
•Runny nose
•Watery eyes
•Fever
•Tiredness
•Loss of appetite
•Trouble breathing

Kittens and older cats tend to get very sick from cat flu because their bodies are not strong enough to fight it off. If you see these symptoms, take your cat to the vet right away.

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: You can help prevent cat flu by making sure your cat gets their vaccines. Keeping your cat indoors can also lower the risk of catching the flu from other cats.

𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: If your cat gets the flu, the vet may give them medicine to help. You can also help your cat by keeping them warm, feeding them soft food, and wiping their nose and eyes to keep them clean.

Take care of your cat, and watch for any signs of sickness, especially if they’re a kitten!
