Today Benny was in charge of delivering some cat food, dog treats and toys to our friends at Calder Food Support as a Christmas bonus! ❤️
He was on his best behaviour and didn't even pinch a treat! So earned a box full!

1 Daryl from Red Heart Crochet sadly lost her handsome boy Alfred this year and since has been bringing smiles in his memory. She has created this great sharing hamper with a great mix of dog treats, likimats and toys and even some human treats too.

2 Team Gwen have supported us from the start and as lovely lady Gwen is aging and this may be her last Christmas, they wanted to bring some extra love for Mabel's Meals and one home particularly with this packed Christmas Tree full of dog treats and toys!

3 Plus to add another lot, we're adding a month of Whimzee Dental Chews - 31!

All our food parcels since the 1st of this month have had an extra packet of dog treats in them as a Christmas treat. 😁
But today Ian visited Todmorden Food Drop In for our last donation of 2025. As well as our usual 50 food parcels, we also gifted 50 packets of dog treats, 50 dog toys, 20 boxes of cat food, 20 packets of cat treats and 20 cat toys to share a bit more Christmas spirit!🎄🎁🌟
Our thoughts go to one of our customers particularly who despite having sadly lost his dog recently due to ill health, still came over to thank Ian and Mabel's Meals for our support. For this beloved pooch, please hold your own a little closer this evening. 💙
Thanks as always to Ian and Sally and their compassion and commitment to the monthly food drops in Tod throughout this year.
For Tod customers, it would be a long wait for our next visit at the end of Jan, so we have scheduled an extra visit on 3rd Jan, as well as the 31st, so a little more support at this time of year! 💜 See you then. With love, Mabel's Meals! 💜

Last Sunday we had another very wet walk for Mabel's Birthday, BUT we still raised another £80 towards our food drops.
Thanks to Maggie, Angelo, Tia, Sybil, Bert, Oatey, Archie, Gwen and Scrump and their peeps for supporting us even if they weren't all able to attend. We had some soggy dogs and people by the end but kept our spirits up and rushed home to dry off! 🤣

And just like that, November flew by with another busy month for Mabel's Meals!

We attended Cromwell Bottom Wildlife Group for a Cake and Coffee morning and had our first Craft Stall at Christ Church, Sowerby Bridge, both of which were successful fundraising events! Thank you to all who attended and made donations!

We also had our fist AGM and it was so interesting hearing about all the fundraising we did in 24/25, it's just amazing how far we have come in such a short time!

But none of this would be possible without our amazing team of Volunteers, our Crafters Group, and those who work behind the scenes, so thank you again for all you do! Don't forget to check out our Volunteer page if you are interested in getting involved with any of our fundraising or other activities!

And of course, our supporters. You have been amazing this year with the donations you have made, whether that's a regular contribution, or through attending our events and making donations there. We are so grateful for all the amounts we receive and these are what enables us to distribute 150 parcels a month now!

As well as getting ready for Mabel's Birthday Walk on Sunday, we've been getting ready to send out / for supporters to collect our Hugs for Christmas presents. We had 24 in total ready to go and 16 have been snapped up! With 12 days until the last 2nd post for Christmas and 19 days until Christmas, if you want to send a Hug to a loved one, get in touch!
£9 with collection and £10 with postage it's a lovely stocking filler where you feed a dog for a week! ❤️
Thanks to Pauline, Sandra, Jane, Sally, Elaine and Diane! Plus the two supporters who bought them from the Craft Stall! 😁
It's at least £144 and 16 food parcels, although all have paid a little over the suggested donation so far! ❤️

November has been a busy month for deliveries as we've increased the number of parcels for the Halifax Community Fridge, we've started supporting Calder Food Support and of course we've continued to help Todmorden Food Drop In.
Full drops can be seen below.
For us to be able to continue to help, we need to raise up to £1500. It's a huge total and we need every penny.
Our final events of the year are Mabel's Birthday Walk and an online Christmas Raffle (going live on Monday!)

Our Crafters are doing an amazing job at the mo! After all their hard work, we were bake to attend Christ Church, Sowerby Bridge on Saturday for their craft market!
Sally and Tiegan welcomed lots of interest and found perfect presents for all who enquired!
With Christmas decorations, accessories for dogs and their peeps and other lovely gift ideas, they did a fabulous job with the stall and it paid off! 😁
We raised £137.75!
Thanks to all the crafters but of course Sally and Tiegan especially! ❤️

A real pleasure visiting Jollyes Halifax - The Pet People today to collect the donations made by their fabulous customers this month. An unbelievable 717 tins of dog food - enough meat to fill more than 230 food parcels! A massive thank you to Megan, Zoe and all their colleagues for the fantastic job they do raising awareness of Mabel’s Meals, your support makes a huge difference 🐶 ❤️

We LOVE these! Our Crafters have been busy again and created these lovely crocheted purple hearts and we've turned them into hugs!
If there is a dog person in your life and you don't know what to get them for Christmas, you can purchase a hug that can be sent to you or directly to them with a personalised message! A small card with a heart as a memento or as a keyring in a metallic envelope, and your loved one will know they are feeding a dog for a week! Or treat yourself! 😉
A suggested donation of £10 each including 2nd class postage. To receive in time for Christmas, our last post date is 17th December.
