KELLY & MORE THAN BELSTAR — A Story of Love and Joy

In this case, we were blown away when we received the photos of Kelly's photo session with More than Belstar (More than Prizes x SAH Sadie Chick 505).

Kelly got in touch with More than Belstar in 2020 at our ranch and she knew almost immediately—she's the one! It was not only love at first sight, but over time Kelly also bonded with More than Belstar in a magnificent manner. In many ways, this horse became part of Kelly's family.

Lola De Wette—She Trains Horses to Become Partners

When you're looking for Lola you bet she is on horseback. One day as a kid, she was riding a Welch pony. While riding behind her I noticed that the pad was slipping out from underneath the saddle. I asked her to stop and got off my horse to fix the pad and discovered that Lola was riding with a loose cinch. She kept everything in balance with her body and sense of balance.

Today, she's no different in various ways—she trains horses by her very own Lola playbook and her well-balanced mindset. In whatever situation she seems to find that natural equilibrium with her equine four-legged friends. When asking and giving back, when gradually planning every incremental next step in her training approach, by the way she reads horses, etc. In every single aspect, she seems to find a balanced dialogue with the horse.

Healthy horses. Indeed, as breeders driven by love and passion for the horse, our greatest honor is the confirmation of health and well-being. High standards, also confirmed by medical expertise. The number one criterion is the mental and physical health and soundness of our horses, which is embedded in the goals of our unique breeding Program.

All of our horses are bred according to our select Legacy Breeding Program, and they are raised and educated by our family members together with their mother and their aunts. From the moment they’re born, they interact with people—our family. Their mom gives them the confidence to trust people and our love and care prove that their mother is right—having faith in the bond with humans. We indeed educate and train horses with passion and our love for horses as the main ingredient of our overall conduct. It's part of our family values.

The horses grow up at our ranch, an open operation embedded in the varied hilly biotope of the Condroz area in the heart of Europe. The soil has the right density and composition to ensure an ideal physical development of the horses’ bodies—their bone structure, the joints, their tendons, and the muscular system. The development of growth plates can take place in a dynamically exercised way with an ideal natural shock absorbance. This, combined with our educational program results in horses that are healthy and well-balanced—both mentally and physically.

We start horses under saddle at the age of three, not earlier. This ensures their further development and physical and mental health.
