We are honored to announce that Umberto Lehmann will once again be President of the Jury at the Diamex Master Groomer 2025, on April 12 and 13 in Liège. 🇧🇪😍
🏆 𝗨𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻 🏆
Umberto Lehmann is an emblematic grooming figure and a pioneer who has helped raise the level and renown of grooming worldwide. A seasoned professional, Umberto is a man of many facets: groomer, trainer, breeder, handler, president of associations, as well as organizer of the prestigious “MilanGroom” international grooming competition. He opened his first grooming salon in 1985, and began giving training and specialization courses. He has trained over 500 students at his school, sharing his expertise and passion for grooming.
At the same time, Umberto has achieved many feats in grooming competitions. His talent and experience have enabled him to excel in all categories (Poodle, Handstripping, Scissoring, Purebred, Spaniel, etc.), winning several gold and silver medals. He was a member of the Italian team that took 3rd place at the World Team Championships in Intergroom USA in 1996, and a member of the European team that took 2nd place at the World Team Championships in Canada in 2001. His skills and dedication to the craft were recognized in 1987, when he won the prestigious Cardinal Crystal Grooming Achievement Award as “International Groomer of the Year”.
In 1989, he began his career as a grooming show judge, serving as a jury member in over 400 international competitions. In addition to judging, Umberto shares his knowledge at seminars around the world, contributing to the prosperity and talent of younger generations of groomers.
President of the EGA (European Grooming Association) and ATI (Associazione Toelettatori Italiani) associations, Umberto is recognized as a leader in the grooming world, whose aim is to promote excellence and innovation in grooming.

We're delighted to announce that @Paola Acco will be joining the Jury at Diamex Master Groomer on 12 and 13 April 2025! 🇧🇪
🏆 𝗣𝗮𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼 🏆
Paola Acco is a leading figure in the grooming industry, with over 35 years' experience. She started out in 1991 with a salon in Portogruaro (Venice) and ran a training school founded in 1999, where she has trained over 400 students, some of whom have gone on to become international champions.
Since 1995, Paola has excelled in grooming competitions in Italy, Europe and the United States, winning numerous gold, silver and bronze medals. Her most prestigious awards include several Best in Show (Italy, France, Czech Republic), Italian Champion in Empoli in 1999, and Best of the Best runner-up in Milan. She has been a finalist 4 times in the Oster competition and won the title of World Champion with the Italian team in Barcelona in 2003 and Vice World Champion in Milan in 2007.
Committed to promoting grooming, Paola is co-founder of the ATI (Association of Italian Groomers) and organiser of numerous international events, including the Master Show, a major reference point in the world of dog shows, and the International Championship. She is also behind the Star Groomer Award, the Grooming Oscars and the ‘4 For Four 4’ competition in collaboration with the ‘I 4 Carati Groomers Studio’ group.
An All-Round EGA and APT judge, Paola has given demonstrations and seminars across Italy, Europe and Asia, collaborating with some of the biggest companies in the industry. In 2019, she launched her own line of grooming tools, Akko Scissors, renowned for combining precision and comfort. She is also a writer for Zampotta PetBusiness magazine and author of the grooming book ‘Simply The Best’.
Today, Paola Acco continues her mission to pass on knowledge and promote perfection in grooming, and is a true inspiration to groomers the world over.

✨ FIRST JUDGE REVEAL ✨
We are delighted to announce that Toshinori Omura, will be on the Jury for our Diamex Master Groomer competition on 12 and 13 April 2025 in Liège. 🇧🇪
🏆 𝗧𝗼𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶 𝗢𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗮 🏆
He is an internationally renowned breeder, handler, groomer and judge. He showed his first dog in a dog show at the age of 13 (with a Shiba-Inu), and although this event was decisive for him, he first graduated from university and then took up his first office job, before leaving it for health reasons and taking up grooming on the advice of his teacher. It was then that Toshinori decided to make a living from his passion.
He began showing Poodles with Florence, who was also the first Poodle from his “Smash Poodles” kennel, which he created in 1989. Florence was #1 in Poodle shows in 1990. Considered one of the world's top Toy Poodle breeders, he is THE No. 1 Toy Poodle breeder in Japan, and has been for 34 years. The “Smash” prefix has produced over 800 champions in Japan Kennel Club, and although his kennel is renowned for Toy Poodles, he also breeds other breeds (Pomeranians, Maltese, Shiba-Inu, and Chinese Crested).
Throughout his impressive career, Toshinori has won innumerable awards: 108 times “Best in Show” in the USA (the record for Toy Poodles), 11 times “Best of Variety” (including 8 consecutive times) at the Poodle Club of America, numerous times “Best in Show” at the World Dog Sho, Asia Kennel Union, etc., and several times “Best of Breed” at the Westminster Kennel Club Show.
In addition to all these activities, Toshinori is also President of the Fuji Poodle Club, a member of the Japan Kennel Club committee, an FCI and EGA judge for dog shows and grooming competitions, and a sought-after seminar speaker.
