( Part 1 ) A few weeks ago we visited the beautiful Zoo del Istmo from Jaco Lacs in Panama. We heard a lot about him and where so curious about his collection. We where speachless when we saw his birds 🤩 We stayed for two days, it was too short but we were dealing with short deadlines in this amazing country. Jaco doesn’t use fb but you can find him on Instagram on his account nature.jl

Hi guys,

At the moment we are busy working at our aviaries because autumn 🍂 season is just around the corner. We are moving some birds and especially all our eupsittula P. Pertinax move into our 2 colony flights.

We do this every year to give them extra space and for the youngsters to socialise. These birds are very suited to live in colony, this year we also had 2 couples reproducing in the group 🐣

We have some very beautiful youngsters available. If you are interested please send us a pm.

Note: we don’t sell for breedingcages and not to dealers. Only for serious breeder’s private collections with outside aviaries.

Birds of Curaçao 🇨🇼 part II

This time we want to show the wild parrots we were able to photograph during our last stay 💕

Starting with the Amazona Ochrocephala, the Amazona Amazonica, Ara Severa, Eupsittula P. Pertinax and a little Budgerigar, I think this little fellow was lost but hopefully he will find his way on Curaçao 🙏

This was the second time we were able to see them in the wild, goosebumps all over because this is where they truly belong instead of in our aviaries. We need to do everything to give our birds the best life we can offer 🙏

3 little musketeers 💕

First clutch of one of our beautiful younger P. Pertinax couples, dad was the 5 th egg so we had to handfeed him. He was in the colony for 2 years after he found the female of his life 😁 To give them some rest we separated them and they started breeding very fast. They will go back in the colony with their youngsters later on this year. These birds are endemic to Curaçao 🇨🇼 and very suitable to live in a colony flight ❤️

This is the second time these parents had a clutch of 2. Last year one of the 2 was also dark green and this year the same. I hope to breed with the dark one of last year, so we can see if this will be a mutation or not. We breed about 20 Pertinax Pertinax each year , but these 2 or the only dark types we ever bred.
