If you see these red, circular lesions on your dog, they’ve most like been bitten by a black fly.
They like to bite skin that’s hairless so you will typically see these marks on your dog’s belly and inner thighs.
Contrary to what we might think, they don’t really bother your dog so treatment is usually not necessary. However!! If you notice any:
💣 excessive licking
💣 swelling
💣 pain
💣 persistent red marks
…then call your veterinarian!

It’s summer time and that means it’s gonna be HOT for you and
your fur-baby.

This summer, please be mindful of when it’s time to bring your
pet inside after a long walk or a long play session outside. Of course,
N-E-V-E-R leave them in the car, even if it “doesn’t seem that warm outside”.

The goal of this post is to prevent your pet from ending up in an emergency situation that could lead to them passing away.
