Grateful for the opportunity to assist Muscade and Cannelle, two lovely British Shorthair cats, in overcoming their challenges. Despite initial difficulties, Cannelle's fear of Muscade and house soiling problems have significantly improved through thoughtful environmental changes. It's heartwarming to witness these beautiful cats now happily coexisting, even sharing playful moments. A big thank you to their dedicated owners for the love and efforts invested in creating a harmonious environment for their feline companions 🐾💕

On commence la semaine avec un témoignage positif 🩺🥰
« Anouck nous a aidées avec ma pouliche qui ne se laissait approcher par aucun vétérinaire. Elle est venue une première fois évaluer la situation et m'a donné des exercices à faire pour entraîner à la vaccination. Elle est ensuite revenue avec ma vétérinaire et elles ont pu vacciner la pouliche dans le calme. Son travail est remarquable. Elle travaille en douceur et en harmonie avec les particularités du cheval. Je recommande vivement!

Les ulcères gastriques du cheval, un gros sujet, un grande préoccupation. Le sujet est vaste. Voici un petit "gros-plan" sur le thème. Sachez que les ulcères sont douloureux ; si votre cheval réagit à la sangle, cela peut, j'ai bien dit peut, indiquer un problème d'ulcère.

1. l'estomac de votre cheval à la taille d'une ballon de rugby. D'où la nécessité de manger toute la journée en petite quantité. Les repas "grains" (j'y reviens dans un instant), concentrés devraient être servis à la mode "slow-food" pour rallonger le temps du repas.

2. A l'état sauvage, les chevaux mangent de l'herbe ou des arbustes, des branches, des hautes herbes selon l'endroit où ils vivent. Ils prennent du poids tout l'été pour maigrir en hiver en mangeant de la nourriture très pauvre.

3. Le système digestif a évolué pour manger des fibres pauvres en amidons. De nos jours, les chevaux reçoivent de la nourriture trop riche en amidon et trop raffinée. (prise de poids, fourbure, SME)

4. Le jeûne ne convient pas au système digestif du cheval. En effet, l'estomac (la portion du bas de l'estomac produit sans cesse de l'acide.) L'estomac a évolué comme ça. Seule la mastication régulière entraîne la production de salive qui neutralise les effets de l'acide.
Un jeûne prolongé vide l'estomac qui devient plus acide. Sur une journée, il produit environ 70 litres.

5. Mâcher 100 gr de foin produit 450 ml de salive
Mâcher 100 gr de granulés produit 200 ml de salive

6. L'excès d'amidon influe le comportement du cheval qui devient hyper vigilant et plus réactif aux stimuli extérieurs.

Conclusion :

👉Plus de fibres, moins d'aliments concentrés, slow-feeding.

👉Avant de travailler votre cheval, donnez lui des fibres (pas de mélange "muesli" avec des fibres) pour tapisser le fond de son estomac et empêcher l'acide d'éclabousser la paroi supérieure et d'y provoquer des ulcères. (Je pense principalement au trot ). Faire travailler son cheval sur le ventre vide, même en concours ? non, non, non

In fine, la prévention vaut mieux que le gastrogard 😌
