Frog Shadow Ltd small holding / volunteer accommodation and experiences In winter we make steel tongue drums which we sell, and we have a few around you can play with.

We bought our property in Bulgaria with the intention living and working for ourselves as organically as possible. We keep animals for milk and meat, and grow fruit and veg in the hopes of becoming very close to self sufficiency. We are living hand in hand with the law of return 'what we take from the land we give back' thereby creating a harmonious and prosperous relationship between man and mud.

We eat well, work hard and enjoy lots of tasty home grown and made produce, whether it be eggs, cheese, meals, beverages (wine, spirits and cider) or preserves. We take on volunteers all year round to help us with the garden, animal husbandry, renovations, jam and wine making, butchery and sausage making and general maintenance. We have a 3 bed dorm room, a double room and a twin room for people to stay. We also have 2 composting toilets, a wet room with hot water, a lounge, a kitchen, internet access, a bar and soon to be a dining room and a library for the masses of books we are currently scattering about everywhere. unfortunately all this bad weather seems to have destroyed our field full of the next years worth of animal feed, and it seems a lot of peoples tomatoes and potatoes are ruined........ on the plus side the fruit trees are heaving this year and we are enjoying tasty fresh veg from our luscious garden everyday! :D

so so soooooo proud of our little puppy 'Poppy'. Second night in the house.......no wee-wees anywhere, no whining or whinging. what a good little girl. Mastered 'sit' and 'come' and getting there with the 'wait', 'on yer'bed' and 'gimme yer paw' commands. Training is going so well, love my little Poppy to bits :D Soon she will learn to bring a beer from the fridge.....

wow.......that was an epic storm!!! lasted a few hours.......heavy rain, loud rolling thunder, lightning you probably would have seen from china! we even have a new swimming pool in the hallway.

what a fun time we are having........it may be all storms and rain right now, and we might be so covered in mud we might be mistaken for stig of the dump.......but this is truly the good life! we are thankful for the food we have worked hard for with the help of our volunteers. i think its time for a slice of chocolate beetroot cake and then off to bed :) bring on the fun again tomorrow!

Steff Sunley had a funtastic day making swiss roll with homemade lemon courgette jam filling, yum! sesame bread rolls, yum yum!! and ribs with potato salad and fresh garden salad for tea later tonight, yum yum yum!!! and all after a mornings weeding and hay collecting :D fun tasty productive day!
