Good day for K9 Karson! One of our officers identified a wanted male walking on the north side of Wil-town. The same suspect that ran from me several months ago that I lost during a foot chase. (You can't win em all folks). When approached, he took off running through yards and across three streets. Karson and I were called out to start tracking the suspect. Initially the track fell short in an alley and we had to start backtracking. As we were still looking in the area, a very observant citizen noticed a suspicious male in an alley that fit our suspect's description. As we were checking the area, one of our officers saw the suspect and began another foot chase. We now had 9 officers in the area on a perimeter, but he had disappeared again. So, Karson and I went in the perimeter and began checking house to house and shed to shed. Karson began tracking behind a funeral home and along a driveway until he started pulling hard toward a wooden driveway fence. I pushed the fence open and he led me into an open shed. In the rear of the shed was a very small closet door. Karson was all over the door to the shed and barked. I tried to crack the door open but quickly realized it was being held from inside. I pulled a little harder as Karson barked and saw the suspect's eyeball. I pulled Karson back and called other officers in to arrest him. Karson did what he was supposed to do and our guy went to jail.
