We understand that sometimes evictions happen but to allow your animal to have puppies is very irresponsible. @baarkbahamas offer free spays and neuters!! We have hundreds and hundreds of dogs and puppies already looking for homes - now we are burdened with 7 new lives. Our maternity section is full - we have no space whatsoever. They are in a crate and momma is so stressed. Her pups will likely not to make it in the shelter as we have too many little ones and there is a risk of disease spreading. Don’t Kitnap Kittens!! Last week these four newborn kittens were left on our front porch. They were cold, wet and hungry. If you see kittens like this, wait to see if mommy returns. They have the best chance with her. If they are in immediate danger please don’t leave them. However, we kindly ask that you leave us with directions/ location of where they were found. Also please wait until our shelter opens at 8am. We need to stop the cycle of collecting puppies and kittens without getting the momma fixed. In a few months more will be born into a life of suffering! Thankfully these babies went into foster care and are all doing well now. Orphan puppy update!! 4 of the puppies went into foster yesterday. ❤️ 🙌 A momma and her babies were surrendered into the shelter this morning and the beautiful momma took on the remaining 3. She wouldn’t have been able to take them all but can manage the 3. Huge shout out to Potcake Puppy Palace who have taken them into foster this entire family!! REMINDER ‼️ 🚘 🐱 🐶 As we are experiencing cooler weather, animals can take shelter near car engines to keep warm. These three littles were brought in a couple of hours ago after being found under the hood of a car. They are okay and seem to be really healthy! Thank you to the gentleman who kindly brought them in. 🙏 We will medically intake them today and then they will be up for adoption in a few weeks. This cold front has caused our cats and kittens to suffer from upper respiratory infections. This is normal but it’s taking longer to clear this time. We are working hard to get them healthy and ready for adoption ❤️ #kittens #kittylove

🆘 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED 🆘 Holly is 12 years old and sadly, her owner died of cancer two weeks ago 😢. She, along with a cat, was surrendered to Dr Dorsett, who has been their vet. Thankfully the kitty found a place to go and we agreed to take Holly with the hope to find her a a peaceful home to live her out her golden years. The shelter is not the place for her, she is sad and confused. Please help us find a foster home 🙏 Holly does have Ehrlichia and Heartworm but is in otherwise good shape.
