Olive is expanding her socialization skills 😻 Since she is a social shoulder kitty and loves people, I decided to take her to Saga’s Spooktacullar to see how she would do around a lot of people and dogs. I didn’t have time to do a costume so we wore matching black spiders 🕷️ She sat nervous on my shoulder for the first 10 minutes, but then relaxed. I held the carrier open so she can jump in whenever she wanted, which she did a few times as it was pretty loud. But she let everyone pet her and then she got a treat at the bar 🥛🥃
She was too nervous to walk on leash on the beach with everything going on but, I expected that as we just started on the leash. She stayed for about 45 mins. Very proud of her! Once the skies clear we will work on short, leash-training walks.
I want the perfect home for her. She needs someone that will be around to give her a lot of daily attention 😻

On Friday, Shadow’s new #furevermom picked her up from Municipal and she was rehomed in Biscayne Village. She took a couple of days to decompress, but now getting settled in accepting pets 😻
Saturday was road trip day with Flower, Poppy and Posie. We hopped over to the mainland, rented a car and set out on our rainy day journey.
First up was a trip to Willows Bank, where the twin tabby’s met their new mom and I got to help settle them into their #fureverhome 😻
Then it was off to Belmopan with Flower. She was sad in the carrier so this sweet, chill girl got to stretch out in the car to her new home. Within a couple hours she was already cuddling up to her new mom 😻

Olive came in as a scrawny little runt, but don’t tell her that. She was the first one out of the carrier, started playing and came to me right away. She is one of the sweetest and social kittens, which is no surprise as black kitties usually follow this personality.
She’s the first to greet someone at the door. She loves to hang out on my shoulders or take naps with me while I work. She loves playing with her siblings and would probably be great with other pets. She can be independent at times as well.
When we were at @sagahumanesociety for vaccines, she chilled on my shoulder wanting to meet the other cats and even climbed on a strangers shoulder. She never had a problem taking medication and she even lets me trim her nails no problem.

The Botanical Babies settled in very quickly and have been living it up over the past week.
They got their first vaccines today and I ran into the couple that rescued them. Wonderful couple that tries to save every cat they find 😻 Also met another family at the clinic that may want to foster to adopt 😸
With todays weight I’d say they are a week older than thought. So they will be spayed and neutered sooner than I thought. So DM now to pre-adopt and set up an in person or virtual meet and greet!

📣 Angel Update 📣 😻Volume up for kitty purrs at the end 😻
Angel has been in her furever home for 2 1/2 months and she is doing fantastic! It took her a week to decompress, but then happily setteled in. Her family had adopted a kitten at the start of the year, but the older cats didn’t want to play. So, in came Angel and she loves her older sister Kisa. A few weeks later mom and son drove to from Colorado to NY to meet their long awaited adoptive dog from Russia. Angel wasn’t happy at first but she showed her who’s boss and who actually owns the dog beg and then they were fine 😹 Fast forward a month and fires broke out in Colorado. So the family took in a pregnant dog to help out another family. She ended up having her puppies early, before she could get back home. So now it’s a full house with a hooman mom, dad, brother, sister, 5 cats, 2 dogs and 7 puppies! Talk about a whirlwind! 🐾 Meet Angel, the bar kitty from next door. 😇 Read her journey below and adopt her!
She is 3 months old and has been living outside without a momma for a while hiding from the dogs and racoons. The bar would feed her if they saw her but if they left food for her, she’d let the dominating stray street crew eat it. So, she was very skinny ☹️
The new owners were willing to keep her inside the bar shack at night and let her run around during the day. So, I took her last week, gave her a flea bath and Saga gave me some meds to treat her URI. She is now healthy, gained weight and get spayed and vaccinated today. She really blossomed inside so I decided to keep her and get her adopted out.
Even though she was scared and tried to use her adorable little hiss to get me away, she let me give her a bath on night one. I kept her in the bathroom so she could decompress and by the second night she let me pet her, even on my lap. The next day I let her in the kitten room and by that night she slowly started to rub her face on my legs, play with toys and give her belly rubs on my lap while she purred away.
