Each moment spent with Tom opens up new horizons for us, revealing insights and techniques that we eagerly incorporate into our training arsenal for our clients. This encounter has truly shaped our vision for delivering unparalleled service.

Tom’s openness, combined with Taylor Davis’s readiness to dive deep into both training nuances and the nitty-gritty of business operations, has been nothing short of inspirational. The entire Upstate Canine Academy team welcomed us with open arms, sharing their wisdom and fueling our passion for dog training even further.

Job Summary:
This role suits individuals who are passionate about animal welfare and interested in applying a holistic care philosophy. While experience in dog training or animal care is beneficial, it is not required. We value enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to our holistic care principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct training sessions aligned with our holistic care approach, addressing each dog's unique needs.
Perform dog walking duties with a focus on holistic well-being.

Pack walks are fun, but a lot goes into conducting them responsibly.

✔️ Ensure all dogs in the group are properly vaccinated, healthy, and non-aggressive.
✔️Maintain control and supervision to prevent conflicts or negative interactions between dogs.
✔️Watch for signs of stress, discomfort, or overstimulation in individual dogs and adjust accordingly.
✔️Use proper equipment, such as leashes and harnesses, to maintain control and safety.

Update on our Pack Walk program. Pack Walks, designed for minimal training and maximum management, aim to ensure that dogs exhibit desired behaviours not only during walks but also in their home environment.

The beauty of Pack Walks lies in their focus on reinforcing existing positive behaviours, resulting in owners experiencing fewer questions and concerns about their dogs' conduct at home. This program is tailored for dogs already displaying the desired behaviours, making it a seamless extension of their natural conduct within the home setting.

However, we understand that each dog is unique, and behavioural challenges may arise. In such cases, we proactively monitor and, if necessary, make suggestions to address emerging issues. This may involve transitioning to a different program or incorporating a bit of at-home work with the owner to ensure a personalized and effective approach.

Additionally, we offer supplementary options to address specific concerns through our Dog Walking service.
