We are open for the 2025 season as of Monday! Thank you all for the warm welcome back and we are excited to be kicking off the season with some sunshine. Our operating hours are a little different this year, to serve you better based on your feedback. Happy to be able to offer mare owners some early appointments or just being available by phone before you start your work day. Give us a call to book in and chat with Erika or Christie!

We know horses can be an expensive hobby - we are happy to work with you in pre-paying your retainers before breeding time to spread out some of the costs. Send us an email with any questions you may have. If you are sending from a numbered company account or a friend is paying for you - please include the account name the amount should be applied to in the notes! Otherwise we won’t know who to apply it to!

Our community lost a phenomenal, passionate veterinarian and the world has lost a very special person. Our thoughts and prayers are with our dear friends at Momentum Equine Veterinary Specialists and Conrad’s beautiful family.

It is with heavy hearts we share the news of Conrad’s passing on January 20, 2025.

Conrad was the heart of Momentum, and this practice would not be what it is today without his vision, hard work and leadership.

Above all else, he was an exceptional dad and husband, and our support continues to be with the Wilgenbusch family during this difficult time.

Thank you for your support and patience as we navigate this season.

Wishing a very Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! We are so very thankful for an incredible Canadian season and all the wonderful clients, mares, foals and stallions we had the privilege to see this year. Though our Canadian season is now over, we are so looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2025!

Hard to believe that our season is soon coming to a close! We are still actively freezing semen, fetal sexing and even doing embryo transfers. If you have any end of season services in mind, please get in touch to book in asap. As well if you require any regumate, pneumabort, prodigy etc to get your mares through their pregnancies until we re-open in March.

Get your US or EU based stallion choices in - CFIA permits are required to get the semen (fresh or frozen) into Canada. In the busy season, it can take weeks to get these back. Even if you are considering using a stallion - let’s get him on our permit! Better to have and not use, than to be caught scrambling when a mare is cycling.
