The Icelandic Sheepdog came with the Vikings settlers to Iceland in the ninth century, and is Iceland's only native dog.
The 18th of July is the day of the Icelandic Sheepdog.

It is officially starting, we are in the works of becoming a national club with the CKC.
For national club status we need officers and a board of directors distributed across the country.
Official CKC club recognition means that we can hold a national speciality once per year.
Prior to seeking club recognition with the CKC we must demonstrate ongoing viability of the club for a minimum period of 12 months by establishing a record of meetings, elections, and activities.
