Red Dog Leather is a family owned and operated business. Our namesake derived from our nickname for our first dog, a Vizsla, who we named Fred (2008-2017), The Red Dog. He is our Red Dog Fred and because we love him so... We designed leather dog gear for him. And since we were heavily involved in dog rescue, on May 02, 2013, we decided to foster a 10 month old Female Formosan Mountain Dog. Her nam

e is Lula Mae, who we fell in love with, and decided to adopt her a day and half later. Sadly, our Red Dog Fred passed away on June 28, 2017, our family was never the same. Our Lula Mae was heartbroken without her brother Fred. We decided that our furry girl needed another brother. On April 20, 2018 we adopted Logan. He’s 5 months old and he’s also from Taiwan. And slowly...slowly...we are all helping each heal after losing our Red Dog Fred.🐾❤️

Our mission is to provide our wonderful clientele with products that are 100% Canadian handmade, using high quality leather and products that are stylish, functional, yet designed rugged enough to withstand hard use. We also make it our mission to give back to the community by donating to non-profit dog rescues. RDL Family ♥

We, Red Dog Leather, have established a new level of high quality leather gear for you and your dog. Our collection is 100% Canadian handmade, consisting of high quality leather, with products that are stylish, functional, yet designed rugged enough to withstand hard use. We use only hand tools and the finest grade of leathers. All our products are individually hand-cut, edge coated, and rubbed conditioned by hand to achieve our remarkable originality. We use harness hardware, which we fit by hand, and all our products are branded by hand with our ‘RDL’ for authenticity..

Our leather options; Light Veg Tan, Veg Tan, Light Tan, Tan-Austin Double Shoulder, Tan-Classic Glazed Double Shoulder, Cherry Latigo, Brown Latigo, Brown-Austin Double Shoulder, Black Latigo, and Black-Austin Double Shoulder leather.

Our harness hardware options; solid brass, chrome, stainless steel, eyelets, and personalized nameplates in Stainless Steel and Brass. Our Martingales chains are available in Chrome for all our leather colours.
