CVPC is a branch of the Canadian Pony Club that serves the south Edmonton, Beaumont and Leduc area. Currently, the club is based out of the Beaumont Agricultural Society grounds. It is a volunteer-based club for people aged 6+ who want to learn to ride and care for horses.
Members own or lease their own horse and take lessons with the club (dressage, jumping and cross country). Lessons usually run from about May to September (depending on weather). In the winter, members can take theory lessons about horse care (e.g. conformation, anatomy, nutrition, vet/equine first aid, saddlery and much more).
Other fun activities include: yearly summer camp in July, hosting Beaumont Horse Trials, winter theory camp, quiz, Prince Philip Games, Alberta North Region horse show, rally as well as many clinics are hosted throughout the year.
We welcome members of all ages. If you would like more information, please contact [email protected]
