After today we made some changes to our winter policy, please take note. 👇🏻👇🏻

Winter Policy Update ❄️

As we prepare for the winter season, we want to share our updated policy regarding pack walks during adverse weather conditions. Safety is our top priority, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation to ensure the well-being of your dogs, our team, and everyone on the road.

1️⃣ Snow, Freezing Rain, and Ice on the Roads

If there is snow, freezing rain, or icy conditions the night before or during the morning of a scheduled pack walk, the walk will be cancelled. Winter driving presents significant risks, and the safety of the dogs, our team, and others on the road is simply not worth jeopardizing.

Transporting dogs requires multiple stops, and icy or snowy roads can make this unsafe. Even with cautious driving, other drivers on the road may pose a risk in these conditions. If we are not comfortable driving, we will not proceed, and we will always err on the side of caution.

2️⃣ Icy Terrain is Dangerous for Dogs

Allowing dogs to run on icy surfaces can result in serious injuries, including torn ACLs or other muscle and joint issues. We will not put your dog at risk by walking in unsafe areas, as their health and safety are our responsibility during pack walks. With that being said, we also will be keeping an eye on temperatures. If temperatures drop to the point where it’s unsafe for dogs to be out for a long period of time we will call the hike. We will make sure to thoroughly watch every dog and make sure they are comfortable during our winter hikes. Please make sure you bring appropriate winter gear if necessary. Boots, jackets, sweaters etc. (Make sure Boots fit properly if chosen to wear as we have had lots of booties go missing!)

3️⃣ Trust and Transparency

We trust our clients to be open and honest about the conditions on their own roads as well. If your street or driveway has not been plowed or cleared, we will not be able to pick up your dog. In these instances, we ask that you notify us and be prepared for last-minute cancellations.

4️⃣ Muddy Adventures

Wet and muddy grounds are inevitable, and your pup may come home dirty. We see this as a badge of honor—muddy paws mean they had an amazing time! 🐾

However, please understand that we always prioritize safety over fun when winter weather worsens.

5️⃣ No Guaranteed Pack Walks

Due to the unpredictable nature of winter weather, pack walks will not be guaranteed every Monday or Friday. If the forecast indicates snow, freezing rain, or icy roads, we will cancel walks to avoid any risks. This may be as late as the morning of so please be prepared for short notices if deemed necessary.

6️⃣ Plan B Options

We encourage all our clients to have a Plan B in place for days when pack walks are cancelled. While we love spending time with your dogs, we won’t compromise on safety for any reason!

We deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we navigate the challenges of winter. Your dog’s safety, along with ours, will always come first. Thank you for trusting us to care for your furry family members! Let’s get through this winter season one paw at a time! 🐾❄️☃️

🎄🐾 Heads Up, Pack Pals! 🐾🎄

Our LAST pack walk before Christmas break will be Monday, December 23rd! 🎅✨

There will be NO pack walks on Friday, December 27th, or Monday, December 30th, as we all enjoy the holiday vibes. 🎁🎉

We’ll be back to our regular schedule starting Friday, January 3rd! 🐕🎆

If your pup needs a walk between December 23rd and January 3rd, just send myself or Kayla’s Dog Services a message, and we can try to work something out! ❤️🐾

Enjoy the holidays, and we’ll see you and your pups in the new year! 🥳🎄

We’ve been so fortunate to welcome so many amazing dogs into our home, and the love and trust you’ve shown us mean the world. With how busy we’ve been with boarding lately, we’ve decided to take a step back starting after the New Year.

This pause will allow us to focus on exciting house upgrades, grow other aspects of our business, and—most importantly—spend some extra time with our own dogs, who have been so patient while sharing their space and family.

This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s what feels right for now. We can’t thank you enough for the support you’ve given us and for allowing us to care for your pups like our own. If you need boarding recommendations during this time, please reach out—we’re happy to help.

Policy Update Reminder

We’d like to remind our clients about our updated policies to help keep things running smoothly:

Pack Walk Payments: Payment is required prior to pickup for all pack walks.

Boarding Payments: Payment is due on the day of service for all boarding bookings.

Cancellations: A 24-hour notice is required for all cancellations. Boarding cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a 50% charge.

Additionally, please note that our boarding prices have increased. We greatly appreciate your understanding and ongoing support!

We’re committed to ensuring the best experience for you and your dogs, which includes keeping our policies up-to-date. This week, we’ll be handing out updated waivers to all clients as part of our recent insurance policy changes.

Signing these waivers is required for all pack walk participants, so please make sure to review and complete them at your earliest convenience. If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to reach out!

Our crew had a blast exploring, sniffing, and soaking up the adventure together. There’s nothing better than happy tails and wagging hearts! Here’s a closer look on what our crew got up to today. 🐾🩵🐶🌲

Back to the Basics with my boy Tahoe! 🐶 Today, Tahoe and I got back to basics with leash training, starting in a distraction-free area to keep his focus steady. Tahoe’s always been my high-energy boy, so walking calmly on leash isn’t his favorite—he’d much rather be running free! We introduced the head halter as a helpful tool, and it’s already showing results.. The minute there’s tension on the lead, the halter gently turns his head back toward me, giving him a reminder to stay by my side instead of forging ahead. It’s important to remember that regression is okay! Training isn’t always a straight line, and going back to the basics is sometimes just what we need. We’ll keep building his skills little by little, adding in distractions as he’s ready. Setting him up for success. Progress is progress, and we’re in this together. 🥰 Proud of you, Tahoe! 🐾🩵
