for the past 16 years. She currently resides with 4 boxers (V***n, Posh, Lucy, Legend) that she shows in conformation and rally obedience. Two of her boxers also have a herding instinct title. She also spends time with her 3 human children, 2 horses, and 4 cats. Jeannie has a background in human services, obtaining her psychology diploma in 2002 and social work degree in 2004. Since then Jeannie had been seeking a way to combine her love of helping people with her desire to help and train dogs. In July 2012, Jeannie completed the Karen Pryor Certification program, graduating with distinction. This has allowed her to follow her life passion, helping owners to help their dogs! Having a background in both human and dog behavior allows Jeannie to communicate effectively with all family members; both humans and dogs are taught using effective communication tools. She strives to teach using fun and interactive methods while focusing on the dog-human bond.Jeannie trains using a positive reinforcement, science- based approach. We also offer boarding for your furry companion in a friendly, quiet, clean, and homey space. We accommodate a very limited amount of dogs at one time, allowing us to keep the quality of care at a maximum and the stress levels to a minimum. We employ a variety of techniques and tools to help ease the stress on our visitors including classical music, thundershirts, DAP spray, diffusing lavender. Our facilities include indoor/outdoor runs right off of our home so there is always someone present overnight. We have heated floors for cold winter days and air conditioning to keep our visitors cool during the summer heat, as well as a fresh air exchanger. We also maintain 5 very large outdoor run areas and another 20 acres of fenced land if your furry friend requires an extra romp (with one of us of course).
