Are you ready for winter with your dog?
When temperatures drop and the outside air freezes you to your bones, think about your dog too. Smaller breeds, breeds with short hair, seniors and puppies are part of the demographic of dogs that can't handle to cold well. Going for walks with boots on is a fight with your dog to even just go p*e. Walking on non pet friendly deicer that everyone uses for their homes, sidewalks and other Icey area do much more harm than good, these products are extremely harsh on dogs sensitive paw pads and can cause discomfort, sores, or even rashes.
When the wind is blowing and the temperature sinks low would you rather be out braving the cold and hoping your dog does their business fast, or, would you rather them play with no boots on, do their business with out having to rush and sip on hot chocolate, tea or coffee while watching your dog play with their friends?

For the dogs that may have a little bit of experience in Scent Detection we are also offering more advanced class.

These drop ins are geared towards handlers and dogs that already know and have a decent understanding of working odor and all the trial components. Multiple hides can be set to accommodate different levels of training.

Scent Detection Classes

Sally's will be hosting a five week long Introduction to Scent Detection classes! Get your dog using their nose this winter and have some fun!

We will introduce you and your dog to Sporting Scent Detection. We use the same techniques and principles as Working Detection dogs, but we use easily accessible essential oils! This growing sport has captured the attention of many and is gaining in popularity all the time. There are several different organizations accessible through Alberta and the rest of Canada.

We are introducing this class just in time for Winter! It is a very easy way to mentally stimulate your dog’s brain at home which is great for those cold Winter days when you don’t want to leave the house! All dogs of any age and breed are welcome to come and play, these classes are a great follow on from our intro seminar, if you and your dog choose to learn more, but the seminar is not required to attend class. No previous experience necessary.

Sally's is starting the colder season off with a Scent Detection Seminar!
Dogs see the world through their nose. We are giving every dog born with a nose a chance to come learn how to use it to look for certain scents, they were made for this class!

In this Seminar you can come and see what all the fuss is about! We will introduce you and your dog to Sporting Scent Detection.
