Tig & I had such a blast yesterday at Georgena Graham's as I started him on scent detection!

This cross has produced a stellar scent detection dog in the past, and Tig is shaping up to be another great prospect!

Palaris is a 14 year old AQHA gelding. 12,500 Canadian Dollars.

Located in Bonnyville, Ab. Yes, I know it's far from everywhere. No, I will not haul him to Calgary for you to try him. No video (yet)- if interested get in your truck hook up your trailer, come ride him and bring cash - if you want a deal, you best bring whiskey because i'm not prepared to budge on his price without a buzz. I don't need to sell him - I'm just not utilizing him to his full capacity. Please no tire kickers. Good home IS a must - I LOVE this horse.

He was started as a cowhorse, has a solid foundation/body control. He is handy!!! Great with time off, not broncy or spooky. Has been roped off of/used in the branding pen in the past. I've done some obstacles/cowboy challenge on him in the past and he's great. He was hauled to shows and used as a turn back horse. He'd likely settle into mounted shooting if that's your thing.

Super cowy... easy to ride, my only apprehension selling as a kids/begginer horse is that this guy is light/responsive therefore IMO would be too much horse. He is very safe & gentle - but "has buttons" so best suited to someone who can ride & maintain a broke horse. He would be an exceptional step up for a handy intermediate youth.

He is approx 14.1-14.2HH (I have not stick measured him) He's solid, stout, well built, good conformation, leads, ties, loads and hauls, great for farrier (hot & cold shod), easy to deworm, he has been clipped but prefers to be punchy. He is really friendly and loves people. He will walk up to me anywhere and follows me without a halter - ie. easy to catch in a big field without grain.

full discloser- not the prettiest traveling horse I have but he's smooth to ride. He moves like a gaited horse and been like that as long as I have owned him. It's the only thing that kept him from the show pen. He probably could have made a wicked cutter - but our focus was Cowhorse. He is still handy on a cow just not drop hand finished.

Never injured or lame - Vet check/X-rays welcome- he was not overused or pushed in his career. I have owned him since he was a yearling as I bought him at the NCHA bloodstock sale in Ft.Worth. I kept him as a future kids horse for myself and as life turned out -I was never blessed with kids. He's too good of a horse to sit, not an easy decision but I've got a field full of nice horses and a few solid young prospects coming up.

His sire Light N Lena was a 2 Million dollar sire. His Dam - a daughter of Doc's Hickory was a great producer- Palaris is a full brother to Light N Lindy NCHA 60k LTE. his pedigree is STACKED first generation.

I hate selling horses, so PM me if you're serious. I've done my best to describe him accurately to limit the PMs I have to deal with answering the same questions repeatedly.

Sis is a 2006 Sorrel Rabicano AQHA registered mare. She is great to be around with a very sweet & friendly disposition. She's always the first one up to you in the field. She's easy to catch, leads, ties, loads. Sis is broke to ride - and sound however she has been mainly used as a broodmare. Video is from 2021 and was her 1st ride after a few years off. She has a solid foundation - but was not finished, therefore never shown. Best suited to a skilled/confident rider since she is not a finished horse.

She is a solid 15HH, well balanced, good bone and very pretty. She has never had any trouble settling, foals with ease, is a good mom, and milks like a jersey.

She has a 2023 Buckskin Filly - By a son of Hollywood Dun It at side that is also offered for sale. She would make an excellent reiner, youth, or all around horse. She has beautiful movement and is very elegant.

Sis has been bred to Sooooo Shiney for a 2024 foal. "Lucky" is a HZ. SPLASH - so expect there will be some chrome with this cross. He is on track to show in the reining futurities this fall.
