Last month we were lucky enough to have some friends come up and meet the rescues & other resident horses while experiencing the magic of fall in the Cariboo.

Very thankful to have these wonderful women in our lives!

CEDAR: AVAILABLE with updated video!

This lovely mare is available for adoption and is now located in the South Okanagan for viewing by prospective adopters.

Cedar is a 15.1 HH 5 year old typey young mare could really go in any direction with the right guidance. She is making huge strides in her training and takes most new things on very easily! Check out the video to see how in just the last week, she has taken on so many “firsts”!

This mare was a rescue and will still require someone with the experience and skill set to keep building on the solid foundation we have been creating for her.

She has been vaccinated, dewormed, her feet have had multiple corrective trims (with not many more left to get her back to baseline), and has had a basic vet examination to confirm her age and overall health.

This is a rescue project for someone with the experience to deal with this kind of investment, but perhaps without the time, energy, or emotional capacity to pull direct from the auctions or meat buyers.

Low four figures. Located in Cawston, BC.

CEDAR: AVAILABLE

This lovely mare is available for adoption and is now located in the South Okanagan for viewing by prospective adopters.
Cedar is a 15.1 HH 5 year old typey young mare could really go in any direction with the right foundation. We are currently working on the basics of groundwork and desensitization. She has been vaccinated, dewormed, her feet have had multiple corrective trims (with not many more left to get her back to baseline), and has had a basic vet examination to confirm her age and overall health.

In the nicest way possible, I’ll answer some common questions in advance:
- No, we don’t know anything else about this mare’s history.
- No, we don’t know if she has been ridden or saddled before.
- No, we will not consider adopting her out to someone who is
inexperienced or does not have a trainer present and involved in the adoption process.

This is a rescue project for someone with the experience to deal with this kind of investment, but perhaps without the time, energy, or emotional capacity to pull direct from the auctions or meat buyers. We have this horse’s best interests at heart and would rather keep investing in her ourselves than have her end up in the wrong place.

Low to mid four figures. Located in Cawston, BC.

This video is from the summer and she has come along since then so more video available upon specific request!

The tall and the small… 🤣♥️ We love our matching set of blondies so much!! Even though they were rescued from different auctions at different times, our 14.1HH yearling filly and 18.3HH Belgian gelding have become the best of friends! 🫂

BEFORE & AFTER!

This is the difference two trims in five weeks can make! Cedar still has a little bit to go before her feet are perfect but what an improvement over a short time - especially for a mare that likely had never received any hoof care before.

Horses that need critical hoof rehabilitation is one of the biggest challenges we face as it seriously impacts their overall health and wellness and we often face behavioural challenges while trying to get them taken care of early on.

We are so proud of Cedar and how far she has come in a short amount of time!

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Cedar is a 15.1 HH 4 year old grade mare who we rescued from meat this year and we are considering adopting her out at this stage of her training to the right home. This typey young mare could really go in any direction with the right foundation. We are currently working on the basics of groundwork and desensitization. She has been vaccinated, dewormed, had her feet done for the first time, and has had a basic vet examination.

As this young mare progresses in her training with us or if we send her out for 30 days somewhere else, her adoption fee will go up.

In the nicest way possible, I’ll answer some common questions in advance:
- No, we don’t know anything else about this mare’s history.
- No, we don’t know if she has been ridden or saddled before.
- No, we will not consider adopting her out to someone who is inexperienced or does not have a trainer present and involved in the adoption process.

Her adoption fee is in the low four figures.

Located in Bridge Lake, BC.

Meet Cedar ♥️🌳 (previously Lot #88…)

The last of our three recent rescues to introduce to you!!

This young bay mare has all the potential in the world and just needed someone to give her a second chance. When we saved her, her feet were in a horrible state and despite the pain she was in, she never lost her sweet demeanour.

Now that her basic care needs have been met, she is ready to start some training and we will see what her next job in life is meant to be. 🌟

Stay tuned for updates is it won’t be long before this lovely lady is ready for adoption!

Introducing Aspen ♥️🌳 (previously Lot #99…)

A few weeks ago when we picked up this young lady from being sent to slaughter she was feral and untouchable. Now, (in a short amount of time on the rescue scale), her curiosity, innocence, confidence and beautifully kind nature has turned her into the first one at the fence in the morning and the last one in your pocket at the end of the day.

The smart and willing mind of this little lady, in addition to how fancy she is, gives us high hopes for her future!

There is one last recent rescue to introduce that we saved at the same time as Aspen and her name follows the tree theme… any guesses?
